How many of your clients say:

“My jaw is always tight”
“I grind my teeth”
“I carry stress in my face”

…and then we never actually address it?

The masseter is one of the most overworked muscles in the body.

And if we don’t work with it:
- the face holds tension
- circulation is limited
- the entire facial feels incomplete

Facial massage isn’t just about relaxation.

It’s about understanding what’s underneath the skin.

In this class, we break down:
• what muscles you actually need to know
• how tension shows up in the face
• how to work with it (without overcomplicating it)

Because when you understand it…

Your facials feel completely different. Link in bio for booking.

Most estheticians were taught how to massage…

Very few were taught what they’re actually touching.

Skin is just the surface.

Underneath, you’re working with:
• lymph (fluid movement)
• fascia (tissue glide)
• muscle (tension + expression)

And each one requires a completely different approach.

If you’ve ever felt like your facial massage is:
– repetitive
– not getting results
– or just “okay”

…it’s usually not your technique.

It’s that no one taught you why it works.

That’s exactly what I’m teaching in:

The Foundation of Facial Massage

This is the class I wish estheticians got in school.

Estheticians… let’s talk about facial massage.

Most esthetics programs teach how to perform facial massage, but very few explain why the techniques work.

Understanding the difference between lymphatic drainage, fascial work, and muscular massage can completely change the results you deliver in your facials.

In this hands-on CE course, we’ll break down the foundational anatomy of the face and how to work with the three primary tissue systems that influence circulation, tension patterns, and fluid movement.

We’ll cover:

• The lymphatic system of the head and neck
• Facial fascia and tissue mobility
• Key facial muscles estheticians should understand
• How to differentiate lymphatic, fascial, and muscular techniques
• Facial, neck, scalp, décolleté, and arm massage
• Gua sha integration
• Facial contraindications and safety
• How massage improves product absorption and skin vitality

We’ll also talk about how facial massage can elevate your business, improve client retention, and help you stand out as an esthetician.

This is the nuts and bolts of facial massage that most programs simply didn’t have time to teach.

Meghann Lawrence is a massage therapist, NCBTMB-approved continuing education provider, educator, product developer, and business consultant with more than 25 years in the wellness industry.

She graduated massage school in 1999 and soon after moved to Sedona, Arizona, becoming one of the early therapists at Mii Amo. While there, she completed a 450-hour 5 Element Shiatsu program and began her formal study of Ayurvedic theory and treatment. She later traveled to Hawaii for an immersive Lomi Lomi training, deepening her understanding of rhythm, energetic presence, and whole-body integration.

Her career then led her to Napa Valley, where she worked at Meadowood Napa Valley. It was here that her study of Thai massage expanded, alongside continued Ayurvedic training.

In Washington State, Meghann became a partner at one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier day spas. During her time in Seattle, she completed a four-week intensive Northern-style Thai massage immersion in Chiang Mai, refining her approach to movement-based therapy, assisted stretching, and body mechanics. She also began an in-depth study of cupping therapy and its fascial applications.

While in Washington, Meghann taught at a local massage school and served as Chair of the Washington State Massage Board — contributing to professional standards, regulation, and the advancement of the industry.

Today, she is:
• An NCBTMB-approved continuing education provider
• An instructor of Thai Massage, Therapeutic Cupping, Facial Cupping, Kinesiology Taping, How to Read the Face (TCM & 5 Element based), and Introduction to Ayurvedic Theory
• A clinician who integrates structural therapy with energetic assessment and emotional intelligence
• A formulator of natural, science-informed skin and body care products developed from decades in the treatment room
• A consultant for wellness professionals and spa businesses

Her teaching style blends anatomy, tradition, clinical reasoning, and practical application. Students leave not only with technique, but with deeper observational skills, stronger assessment abilities, and greater confidence in their work.

In late 2026, Meghann will introduce a new advanced-level course for massage and esthetics professionals — a program designed for practitioners ready to move beyond modalities and into true integration.

Massage therapists — if you’re ready to expand your clinical skills, refine your assessment abilities, and offer work that truly stands out… I have advanced continuing education classes coming up in Lincoln, Nebraska.

These courses are designed to make you more precise, more intuitive, and more effective in your treatment planning.

Cupping Therapy
Learn to safely apply silicone, traditional, and modern cupping methods to address fascial restriction, stagnation, muscular tension, and mobility limitations. We cover indications, contraindications, tissue response, and how to integrate cupping seamlessly into therapeutic sessions — not as a gimmick, but as a strategic tool.

Facial Cupping
An excellent addition to therapeutic, lymphatic, or intraoral-style work. You’ll learn how to support lymphatic drainage, reduce chronic facial tension, and address TMJ patterns while respecting scope and tissue integrity. This is ideal for therapists wanting to expand into facial or head/neck specialization.

How to Read the Face
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 Element theory, this class strengthens your observational assessment skills. Learn how structure, tone, expression lines, coloration, and asymmetry reflect underlying stress patterns. This enhances intake conversations, treatment strategy, and emotional intelligence in the treatment room.

Introduction to Ayurvedic Theory
Understand the doshas and how constitutional tendencies influence musculoskeletal tension, inflammation, nervous system response, and recovery patterns. This gives you a framework for tailoring pressure, pacing, and modality selection to the individual — instead of applying the same approach to everyone.

Traditional Thai Massage (Northern Style)
A full-body floor-based training with table adaptations included. Learn assisted stretching, rhythmic compression, mobility sequencing, and energy line work that protects your body while delivering deeply effective results. This course builds flow, endurance, and confidence in movement-based therapy.

Kinesiology Taping
A practical, clinically applicable course for supporting joint stability, lymphatic drainage, muscle facilitation/inhibition, and athletic recovery. You’ll leave confident in taping strategies that clients can benefit from long after they leave your table.

These classes are built for therapists who want to combine anatomy, energetic understanding, and real-world application.

All courses are held in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Estheticians — are you ready to deepen your skill set and truly elevate your results?

I have several advanced continuing education courses coming up in Lincoln, Nebraska:

• Facial Cupping (where within scope of practice in your state)
• How to Read the Face
• Introduction to Ayurvedic Theory

These classes go far beyond technique.

Facial Cupping teaches you how to safely and effectively support lymphatic movement, reduce stagnation, improve circulation, and enhance product absorption. When performed properly, it can help soften tension patterns, reduce puffiness, and create visible brightness in the skin — all while staying grounded in anatomical understanding and scope awareness.

How to Read the Face is an emotional intelligence and assessment-based course rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 Element theory. You’ll learn how to observe structural patterns, muscle tension, coloration, expression lines, and subtle asymmetries to better understand what may be happening systemically. This improves consultation skills, treatment planning, and client communication — which builds trust and retention.

Introduction to Ayurvedic Theory gives you a foundational understanding of the doshas and how constitutional tendencies influence skin behavior, inflammation patterns, aging, stress response, and product selection. This class strengthens your ability to individualize treatments instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

When you understand energy patterns, tissue quality, emotional expression, and constitutional tendencies, you begin to truly see your client — not just their skin.

All classes are held in Lincoln, Nebraska.
