Ok, everyone has been asking for an update. As you know Heather and I visited Nebraska medicine earlier this week for my transplant evaluation. We had a good visit. I was submitted to a lot of tests. X-rays, CT scans, Echocardiograms, etc. We had some good meetings with the Doctors, surgeons and various other specialists. I'm so glad Heather was there with me. My love and best friend. She knows all the right questions to ask and I would never remember all the important information without her.
I think overall it was an encouraging visit and I am hopeful. Thank you again for all the prayers, encouragement and support. This has been and continues to be a long road. I am thankful to have all of you traveling this road with me. And with your continued prayers, the Lord will provide a donor.
At the Med center, they were insistent to remind me that a kidney transplant is not a cure, but merely another treatment, like dialysis. Although it is the best option, I will not be healed of this kidney disease. Ultimately it will take me. But I am content with that. I was healed a long time ago. Not my body, but my soul.
Isaiah 53:5 ESV
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are HEALED.
This world is not our home, this world can be cruel. Whether by disease or other ailments, there is healing in Christ!
Not my will but his!
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
