I thought I would share something interesting today.
I don't know how many of you have ever :smudged", but on occasion I've smudged my apartment with sage & smudged other's homes when they've movied in or just wantied a change of "energy" in their environment. Seems like a lovely Native American practice that is mindful & at the very least sets intentions for harmony, peace, well-being along with renewal of oneself & the surroundings EVEN if one doesn't hold to the spiritual aspects of the practice. Thinking of this becz I ran across this video today & was especially taken by the young girl smudging herself to promote good intentions for her mind, speech, her hearing. her heart etc. Very lovely intentions to live by whether we smudge or not! While indigenous people usually pick their own herbs, most of us wioud have to buy our sage sweet grass or to***co from a local store. :)
The 1st link is the video & the 2nd link is general info about smudging should you be interested in the background of the practice and how to do it.

How do you smudge? Why do you smudge? Should people be buying/selling traditional medicines like sage? We put these questions to knowledge keeper Debra Courc...
