We're seeing more people are getting care for vertigo and dizziness.

The Star Tribune’s Jeremy Olson talked with one of our physical therapists Kristine Feriancek about the various causes for the trend, including COVID-19 connections.

“I’ve met a number of people that are just, ‘You know, I just never got back into being active. I lost that part of my routine,’” says Kristine. “Habits are hard to build.”

Kristine also notes that vestibular problems increase with age, which makes an increase likely for an aging state like Minnesota, where almost 1 in 5 residents is a senior citizen.

How many visits did you make to the Minnesota State Fair?

We were out there a bunch and we had so much fun at the Great Minnesota Get Together! From mental health advocacy to first aid, it was great connecting with our community.

We showed up to promote health and wellness and celebrate what it means to be a partner for good. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hello. See you next year!

For their annual group photo, our specialty pharmacy team suited up in jerseys to bring the theme to life: “Our Team Supporting Your Team!”

That teamwork is delivering meaningful results. By expanding the use of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) pharmacists and working closely with our specialty pharmacy team, we’re helping patients manage complicated medications while finding ways to improve health and lower costs.

Over the past two years, we’ve gone from one MTM pharmacist to 11 working in various specialty areas including dermatology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, asthma, immunology, infectious diseases and pulmonology. There are also plans to expand into additional specialties like neurology, nephrology, cardiology and endocrinology in the future.

“Our MTM pharmacists help ensure patients are on the right drug, at the right dose, and at the right cost,” says Dan, director of clinical pharmacy programs.

Together, these pharmacists help patients navigate complex medication regimens while identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
