Recently, students at the University of South Carolina have brought the back to life as they raise mental health awareness. SCDAA advises everyone, especially our students and young warriors, that the ice bucket challenge is not advised for sickle cell warriors as intense cold exposure may trigger a hospitalization. If someone asks you to do the ice bucket challenge, how will you respond? Consider other ways to support mental health awareness and stay healthy!
