To my friends, family, and colleagues….its my birthday! Thats right I am one year older. This year I would love for everyone to donate just a little to the Sigma Public Education and Research Foundation! I am hoping to raise $5000. This organization was built to develop programming for women and children, to offer grants to community organizations to support people of color, and to give to groups looking to pour into our children resources that develop them personally and professionally. Happy Father’s Day to you my love! I do not post much about you, mostly ‘cause you are social media averse! To my best friend, my true love, and my backbone, thank you for being there for our son, for being the man you were always meant to be, for being an excellent example of what a father should always be. You are kind, funny, playful, and you never miss a beat with our son. You find a way to always ride the same wave he is on and while doing so teaching him something new, sometimes to my detriment because then he uses it on me. Our son is lucky to have you and lucky to call you DAD! I hope that today you remember that God truly gifted you with a blessing, one that you have taken on to its fullest. You were meant for this role, so enjoy your day and enjoy the time you spend with that boy who truly loves you. You are his inspiration, his guiding light, and the shoes he must fill and exceed as he grows up to be the man we wish him to be.
