This is me

This is me!

I am a middle-aged, divorced mom of one pretty terrific teenager! I have spent most of my life not giving much thought – if any – to what I put IN or ON my own body.

I am overweight and am unpeeling the various layers as to why this is so. I spent many years experiencing sleepless nights because…I just couldn’t sleep! My life changed four years ago! My mom just celebrated her 80th birthday!

But 4 years ago, I almost lost her. She spent 8 days in the hospital and then was sent home…to basically die. Today she is healthier, happier and is living a more meaningful life than ever before.

This daughter of mine has her whole life ahead of her. I am committed to teaching her better habits and educating her on the importance of what she eats, drinks and puts on her body. I was ordained 22 years ago and promised God that I would serve God’s people

…ALL of God’s people: red & yellow, black & white, Male & Female, Christian & Muslim, rich & poor…you get the idea!

For 18 years, my call to ministry was found in the pulpit. Today, my call is found in teaching others the radical connection between mind, body and spirit that God intended from the very beginning of creation.

I am committed to walking alongside others who are interested in a growing understanding of the Stewardship of the Body. We were given the gift of our bodies so that we can fulfill our life’s purpose. It is our responsibility to care for them…every moment of every day!

I am just one member of our “A Fabulous Journey” team. We are a diverse group of women and men who are walking this journey of wellness and purpose together. Whether you are 18, 50, or 70+ there is a place for you here!
