Congratulations to Jenn Edgar, RN, of Hot Springs on winning the DAISY Award from the DAISY Foundation! Jenn was honored for her work with a new mom who had a lot of anxiety. Jenn made sure to check in regularly with her, and even stayed with her when her baby had to be transported to Children's. Jenn was a powerful source of comfort during a stressful week, and we couldn't be prouder of her work and dedication. Thank you, Jenn!

We're proud to announce that Bryan Flores, RN, at the Infirmary has received the Chick-fil-A Humankindness Award for October! Bryan was honored for his care for a patient and family in August. The patient was in their last days, and Bryan carefully helped the family and the patient navigate all of the emotional and logistical complications that are part of a patient's final days.

The patient's family reached out to us and said, "We honestly could not have made it through this time without him. We all will forever be grateful for this young man. We saw him. We appreciate him. We thank God for him."

Thank you, Bryan. Your skill and your heart are such an asset to our ministry.

Our Pets of St. Vincent this week are LuLu and Rosie, belonging to Dr. Morris E. Kelley of CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute - North! These two Yorkies may be small, but they have big personalities. LuLu loves toys and meeting new folks, but Rosie prefers attention from her family. Dr. Kelley says both of them are excellent cuddlers at the end of the day, and we can see why! What adorable pups!
