Congratulations to Dimple Jean Enriquez, RN, of North on winning the DAISY Award from the DAISY Foundation! Dimple Jean was nominated by a patient who was so impressed by her compassion and tireless work ethic that they called her "the Mother Teresa of this hospital." We can't think of a better way to put it. :-)

It’s gift box day at the Infirmary, where every coworker is getting a box of meats or cheeses from Petit Jean meats. We’ll be giving these out to our employees at every CHI St. Vincent clinic and hospital in the state this week. We are deeply grateful for all our coworkers this holiday season. Merry Christmas!

Our Pet of St. Vincent this week is Sara, a 14-year-old Pomeranian Chihuahua owned be Melanie Delgman, RN, at the Infirmary! Sara loves her people, especially when it's bedtime and she claims the pillow space beside her mom. She is quick to communicate when it's dinner time and when it's time to go outside. We're glad we could spotlight this lovely senior pup!

Congratulations to Justin Mason, RT, of Morrilton on being named a CHI St. Vincent Service Hero! Justin recently stepped up to help on an unusually busy day where the healthcare team badly needed a PCT. Justin took care of call lights and helped patients with all their personal needs, freeing up the nursing team to handle medications and urgent health needs. He did it all with a spirit of generosity and charity. Thank you so much, Justin!

On this second week of advent, we light The Bethlehem Candle, a symbol of peace and preparation for the coming of Jesus. We remember the journey Joseph and Mary took from Nazareth to Bethlehem as they prepared for the birth of the Christ. May we also prepare this Christmas season by sharing the love and peace of Jesus with everyone we meet.
