Today is the start of OCD Awareness week. About 2-3% of the world has been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD. In America 2.3% of adults have been diagnosed with OCD. That's roughly 6 million people (NIMH).There is also a large portion of people with OCD undiagnosed. Commonly to misdiagnosis, stigma, and a lack of awareness. Be conscious of your physical health and your mental health.

Today is the Anniversary of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act!
What is that though? In 2008, The Mental health Parity and Addiction Equity Act was passed, putting Mental Health and Substance Abuse in the same billable category as your General Doctor. Meaning MH and SUD could be covered by insurance a lot easier. This allowed a ton of practices to form and provide more accessible care.

MEET OUR TEAM...Jett Kassab, BS, RBT-TMS Intern

Jett's journey into therapy started young. With a deep desire to become a therapist Jett moved in January 2021, from Illinois to Colorado to follow his passion and began an academic path that led him to complete multiple degrees in psychology. Currently, he's working toward his Master's in Psychology at Pepperdine University, enrolled in an accelerated course of study.

Along the way, Jett has built a diverse background, including work with small businesses, volunteering, and Behavioral Therapy. He has also grown up in a rapidly changing media landscape and has kept pace with how technology continuously transforms marketing and communication strategies.

Beyond his career, Jett is an unwavering social and political activist, committed to fighting for the rights and dignity of others. His role as a mandated reporter for child abuse and neglect reflects his deep commitment to protecting the most vulnerable.
