We had such a great time at our Trunk or Treat event on Friday! A huge thank you to all the families who came out to join the fun, and to everyone who decorated their trunks, handed out treats, and brought their Halloween spirit to life!

A huge thank you to all of our amazing families for joining us at Family Field Day and supporting our St. Jude Trike-A-Thon fundraiser! 💛 Because of your generosity, we were able to reach our school fundraising goal—what an incredible accomplishment to make together for such a meaningful cause.

Our day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and fun! From balancing eggs in the egg-and-spoon races, to pulling together in tug-o-war, and showing off our best moves at the dance parties—our school community truly made it a day to remember!

We are so grateful for your participation, donations, and encouragement. Together, we not only built memories but also made a difference!

Our Home-to-School Connection is all about building strong partnerships between families and teachers by providing instructions for at-home activities for families to do together that match their child’s current curriculum unit with us during the day.

Each month, we’ll share fun, hands-on activities and simple conversation starters designed to:

✨ Spark curiosity and creativity at home
✨ Build confidence in the classroom and beyond

🎨🎶 Paints & Pianos with Ms. Sam 🎶🎨
Our “Intro to Colors” unit has been such an exciting journey so far!

✨ Week One: We discovered the three primary colors—Red, Blue, and Yellow—while learning about the famous artist Piet Mondrian. The children loved exploring his bold, colorful art and trying their own creations inspired by his work! 🟥🟦🟨

✨ Week Two: We were introduced to George Seurat and the amazing technique of pointillism. Using Q-tips, stencils, and primary colors, the children experimented with tiny dots to create their very own masterpieces—just like Seurat! 🔴🔵🟡

Not only are our little artists learning about color and technique, but they’re also building fine motor skills, exploring self-expression, and making connections between art and history. What a wonderful way to combine creativity and learning!

Today our Ducklings class enjoyed a special read-aloud with their teacher, who brought the story to life using a friendly puppet friend! Puppets make reading even more interactive by capturing children’s attention, sparking their imaginations, and encouraging them to participate in the story.

Through expressive voices and playful movements, children practice listening skills, build vocabulary, and strengthen their love of books—all while giggling and engaging with the puppet’s “character.” What a fun way to turn story time into an adventure!

Mud pies and messy hands = happy hearts! Today our Cardinals dove into the joy of mud play—scooping, patting, and shaping their very own “mud pies.” While it might look like just messy fun, mud play is actually packed with learning opportunities! It strengthens fine motor skills, encourages creativity, and helps children explore textures and cause-and-effect (“What happens when I add more water?”).

Plus, getting a little muddy is a wonderful way to connect with nature and practice imaginative play with friends. Sometimes the best recipes are made with dirt, water, and a big dose of laughter!

On this day, our Hummingbirds had so much fun exploring in the play tunnel! 🌈👶 Crawling through the tunnel helps strengthen their gross motor skills, build coordination, and boost confidence as they learn cause and effect (“When I move forward, I get to the other side!”). It also sparks curiosity, encouraging them to peek out, giggle, and interact with their teachers and friends along the way!

Happy Friday, families! 🌞💛 Our children spent the morning exploring outside with their friends—running, climbing, and discovering nature all around them. Outdoor play not only lets them soak up fresh air and sunshine, but also builds important social skills as they share, take turns, and laugh together.

We love watching friendships grow stronger through simple joys like chasing bubbles, collecting leaves, and playing side by side. Here’s to ending the week with smiles, sunshine, and a whole lot of fun!
