Lilahroo's

Lilahroo's Lovies made for infants and toddlers to provide them with a little bit of comfort while receiving ong Lilahroo's is named after my daughters nickname.

When Delilah was just six weeks old she contracted a case of RSV and ended up spending the next three weeks on a ventilator at Children's Hospital in Denver. After watching her, as well as visiting with the other children and their families in the hospital, I realized what a profound effect, even a small gesture of kindness, can have on the mind and body of a struggling child. Through the generosity and compassion of myself and others, it has become my mission to provide a little happiness to as many children in need as possible. In hope of providing a few smiles Lilahroo's will gift as many handmade blankets and books as possible with the help of sponsors to children fighting medical challenges throughout the U.S. I have had some people inquire if I take donations and unfortunately Lilahroo’s does not currently have a non-profit status (yet); but I do have a PayPal account set-up for people who are interested in helping achieve my mission by bringing a little comfort to infants and toddlers who are in hospitals or receiving ongoing medical care throughout the U.S., one Lilahroo at a time. How it is set up is on my webpage http://www.lilahroos.com/ there is a “support us” tab to click, once there you scroll to the very bottom and click the donate link. There are a few options to choose from in sponsoring a little one, you can either: a) contact me for a list of little-ones on the waitlist, b) Pick a child that you would like to receive a Lilahroo that is not yet on my to-do list (make sure you put the child’s name and page info in the comment box or message me) , or c) just make a donation and it will go to the next child on the list awaiting a Lilahroo. Also the direct PayPal address is mboyd13@yahoo.com. No donation is too small. Every penny counts when it comes to helping bring comfort to these little ones. The total cost for material, a book, and shipping per child averages out to approximately $29.00 for a flannel and minky lilahroo (approximately 30x40), but any amount is fantastic because it gets a little one closer to snuggling a lilahroo. I have also added personalized animals and they are $30 to sponsor and that includes the shipping cost.
