This edition of shoe review Monday is a PSA 📢📢

There are shoes out there being advertised as having a "wide toe box" when they really don't fit the bill ... why? Marketing.😑 they know we want it so they are using key words to get you to buy their product.

This shoe for example, has increased the width by the metatarsal heads (ball of the foot) as shown by the arrows in the picture. Although this is a start, this is absolutely not enough to be called a foot shaped shoe🙅🏼‍♀️

Look at the shape of the shoe surrounding the toes. In this shoe, the toes would adduct or move towards each other and the metatarsals have room to spread apart this could lead to more angulation of the 1st and 5th toes..no bueno. 

Remember, when you are looking for shoes with a truly WIDE TOE BOX we are looking for a shape that allows the toes to lay flat and straight with room for the forefoot and toes to splay.🙌

Don't let marketing fool you, be a shoe detective! 🕵️‍♀️ Your feet will thank you. 😊👣
