As we age, the philtrum naturally lengthens and flattens, and fine vertical lines start to form around the mouth. That’s why lip filler in patients 40+ should never focus on the lips alone.
In this case, I looked at the entire perioral area — restoring gentle volume and lifting the lip’s curvature to recreate the youthful “curl” that softens the profile. Subtle adjustments around the mouth can make all the difference in keeping results balanced, natural, and age-appropriate.
