AAC is not English-only. Children can learn and use multiple languages on their device, just like spoken language. Supporting the home language strengthens connection, cultural identity, and meaningful communication! ✨💛🗣️

POV: You’re a myofunctional therapist and you can’t help but notice oral rest posture everywhere 😅

But here’s the real question… what SHOULD you be doing at a stoplight?

✨ Tongue lightly suctioned to the palate
✨ Lips gently together
✨ Teeth slightly apart (not clenched!)
✨ Breathing through your nose

This is called optimal oral rest posture, and it supports proper breathing, jaw development, swallowing patterns, and overall oral function.

So next time you’re sitting at a red light… check in with your mouth 👀

Gestalt language processing sessions are structured around regulation, predictability, and connection. 💛

We focus on:
✨ Sensory regulation first
🧸 Starting with familiar items
🌱 Gradually introducing novelty
💬 Honoring ALL scripts as meaningful communication

Because language grows best when a child feels safe, understood, and connected. ✨

We are officially hiring a part-time myofunctional therapist at Communication Blooms 🌿

Our new space was designed with intention — to support airway-focused care, functional swallowing, oral rest posture, and whole-body function from infancy through adulthood.

This is not a volume-based clinic.
We believe in thoughtful evaluations.
Individualized treatment plans.
Collaborative care.
And doing therapy that truly changes long-term outcomes.

We are looking for an RDH or SLP who is trained (or actively pursuing training) in myofunctional therapy and excited to grow a specialty caseload within a supportive, systems-driven practice.

Part-time to start.
Clear growth potential.
Strong referral base.
Beautiful clinical environment.

If this feels aligned, we would love to connect.

Send your resume to mackenzie@communicationblooms.org
Or message us directly (209) 683-3427
Let’s build something rooted and meaningful together 🌿

✨ Presume competence. Always.

Children who use AAC are thinking, learning, and understanding, long before they can show us with words. When we presume competence, we give access to rich language, meaningful connection, and true participation.

When we raise our expectations, we expand what’s possible.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our Open House with us! ✨

We’re so grateful for the chance to share what we do and the heart behind it.

Here’s to growing together and continuing to support our amazing clients and families! 🌸🩷
