Iโm learning that women move in seasons, not schedules. Just like the seasons of the earth, there are times when we get tons of new ideas, lots of inspiration, so many things we want to create and do, etc. This is our Springtime. Then we pick one or two ideas and do it, sometimes even marathoning, wanting to do it all the time, being ALL IN, etc. (Summer). Then our energy starts to wind down, our motivations slows, things start dying, we're not as interested anymore, (Autumn), and then we go internal and want to do nothing but sleep or read or lay around and do nothing. (Winter). Then when we are done with that we get inspired again and want to do something again and the cycle continues.
Mother Nature is not Lazy because she had lots of sproutlings in the Spring but she's doing nothing in the Winter. It's just a season. And each season is very needed!
We as women have these cycles monthly. They correspond with our menstrual cycle, and last for around a week. I can tell when I'm in spring because I have more exciting inspiring ideas than I can even do. I know when I'm in Summer because I'm enjoying the thing I picked to focus on. Sometimes I obsess and do it every minute I have. Then I can tell I'm in fall when the motivation slows down. This is the point that we beat ourselves up and think we are "lazy" or somehow unable to stay committed to something. You're not lazy, there's nothing wrong with you. Allow yourself to have a Winter week and you will have renewed energy for your Springtime!
