This is incredibly long, and I apologize for that. But....Today is officially my last day to work....I can hardly believe that these days have come to a close, and my retirement is now underway! 🎉Over the years, I've had the privilege of working in the ER, at the prison, at the Juvenile Detention facility, and with Guardian Angel Hospice just to name a few places I learned from. But with a most grateful heart, I have been blessed to be the owner of Servant's Heart Home Health Services for the last 20 years. We finally sold our agency, and that journey is ending. 💖
I am so thankful to this community for allowing me the honor and privilege of being part of your lives in the difficult times and in times of victory and breakthrough. I've been blessed to see the love of family members in action, and I have learned life lessons that have forever changed me.
I have been so honored to know and become family with so many employees who I will always love and cherish. Bobbi KevinandBobbi Callaway , Teresa Miller , Carla Lee, and Naomi Boss - thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your friendship, support, and dedication to serve this community with compassion and excellence. You are the definition of the "dream team" at work. But in my heart, you'll always be my closest friends and family. We've prayed together and rejoiced together and even walked side by side through the firey furnace a few times.Words can barely express how much I love you all.
To my precious hubby Tom Nelson ....there just aren't any words to say that can express my heart to you. I think about all that you have done to support and encourage me, protect and comfort me, and be my rock through it all, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. You have been a shining example of how to love your wife and be the "Lion and the Lamb". In every trial ( and there were plenty!) you stood firm in your faith and kept your eyes on the Lord. You're an inspiration to me. You are the reason I made it through and I love you with all my heart and soul forever.
To my children Tobey Franklin , John Nelson, Brandy Emmons Sarah Guyer Ashley DeSutter and Matt Nelson ...from the days I was at nursing school while you were growing up to the end of my career, each one of you have been so caring and supportive. You have all played a big part in getting Servant's Heart off the ground and running...some of you have worked your buns off doing it! Thank you all for your prayers and efforts, and for your sweet dedication to me and Dad. I am SO BLESSED to be your momma, and I love you all so very much.
Pete Bucklin, I had
no clue who would be able to step in and take over with a Godly heart and care enough about all of my people that I could leave with peace knowing God's still at the helm. You are the man God sent to do it. Thank you!
To the community at large....I'm forever grateful.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you and give you peace.
Love to all,
Jo
