It's A Calling Foundation, Code-4 Counseling, Revital

On Tuesday, Code-4 Counseling, Revital Colorado, & It's A Calling Foundation - together known as LevelUP! - teamed up to welcome six new officers with the Commerce City Police Department!

This full-day wellness journey began at Allegiance Ranch and Equine Rescue, Inc. where these young officers spent three hours with majestic horses, learning firsthand how riding and connecting with these animals can serve as a powerful grounding tool and stress reliever for first responders.

After this part of the day was complete, we provided lunch at SugarFire BBQ, then returned to CCPD for an afternoon focused on wellness and resilience. Jordan Long (Revital) presented on the Five Pillars of Responder Mental Health, followed by Nick Metz (Code-4 Counseling & IACF), who shared a customized version of LAWS specifically tailored for new officers. This type of exposure to wellness and resilience strategies will not only help them toward having a successful career, but will go a long way in providing the best service possible to their new community.

These six officers were incredibly engaged, thoughtful, and genuinely embraced the importance of mental wellness and resilience...and they were just super great guys.

On behalf of LevelUP!, we wish them all success and safety as they begin their new calling.

This vital role will support efforts in fundraising, public outreach, wellness training promotion, and forming strategic partnerships with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Our goal: to elevate awareness of our mission and expand access to culturally competent mental health care for Colorado’s emergency responders, public safety professionals, frontline medical workers, and their families.

At It’s A Calling, we believe no hero should fall through the cracks when it comes to behavioral health care. A robust social media strategy will help us reach those who need us most—and engage the broader community in supporting our mission.
