My dear soul, do not run from your grief. Grief is a profound and uncomfortable emotion. Many want to get through it quickly. Most don't have much time between the loss of a loved one and the need to get back to work. Grief hits everyone differently and there is no wrong way to experience it.
It is important you allow yourself the time to experience it.
You can either choose to allow the grief and honor that emotion - or you can choose to ignore grief & the emotion will pop up at very inconvenient times.
I was fortunate to witness the transition of my grandfather from body to spirit. I held his hand until his last breath. That was more than ten years ago and still, as I write this, I cry. But, I rarely think of that last moment. It is usually his smile or our trips in the RV, or how he would always wave goodbye with two hands and a dance.
I honor him on the anniversary of his transition into spirit by lighting a candle and sitting with my memories and feeling his love.
I honor him on the day of the dead by decorating an altar with his picture, lighting a candle, laying out his favorite food & drink and sharing stories about him.
I honor him throughout the year by giving money or food to people on the street because he always kept change in his pocket for this purpose.
I honor him with a smile every time I hear Nat King Cole or a polka.
I allow myself to cry because I know tears are a wonderful release.
I allow myself to remember because I know his presence in my life has made me who I am today.
I allow myself to grieve because I know every emotion is a part of this beautiful life.
If you would like an energy healing to work with your grief, please DM me. I would be honored to support you.
