I was trying to log food even when I was eating low nutrient foods, drinking more than normal and lagging in my training.โฃ

I wouldnโ€™t coach my clients this way and I sure as s**t know that Iโ€™m not successful on that track.โฃ

We have to take necessary time for ourselves, show ourselves a little grace in the heavy and be able to feel blessed about the hard work we have put in and how much we are able to serve ourselves and others from a place of genuineness and loveโฃ

I get a lot of runners as clients and the first thing that we have to do when they cross over from doing a lot of cardio into strength training is get them ๐™˜๐™ค๐™ข๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™–๐™—๐™ก๐™š ๐™ฌ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™š๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™– ๐™›๐™š๐™ฌ ๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™˜๐™–๐™ก๐™ค๐™ง๐™ž๐™š๐™จ. When we are in a building phase in order for our muscles to grow and to maintain ๐˜ฎ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ค๐˜ถ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ณ ๐˜ฉ๐˜บ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜บ you need to have a sufficient diet that supports muscle growth. โฃ
We are six weeks into a building phase with my client Julie. Her goal is body recomposition and strength. โฃ
For her we had to start with a reverse diet to bring her back to maintenance calories. She has been doing a lot of cardio and not eating nearly enough calories. โฃ
From here, we can start to increase a little bit more carbohydrates and protein to bring her into a ๐—ฏ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฒ. This is done very slowly and reasonably for a busy mom of three, and has to make sense for her lifestyle. โฃ
At first it was just getting enough protein in and not worrying about the other calories. Once we got the hang of that we had to focus on getting in enough meals throughout the day and practicing plate portions satisfying each macro nutrient group. โฃ

Now that we got the hang of that we get to go into ๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™–๐™˜๐™ ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ข๐™š๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™ž๐™˜๐™จ. You have to understand where your client is coming from and if it isnโ€™t realistic to track every calorie in and every meal throughout the week, then you have to ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ ๐™จ๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ฌ๐™๐™š๐™ง๐™š.โฃ

Sometimes doing less can lend bigger and longer lasting results.

* Coconut Flour-ย Works well with the oat flour, to keep the bars extra chewy. If you donโ€™t want to use coconut flour, add more oat flour.โฃ
* Protein Powderโ€“ You can use vanilla flavored or unflavored. Be sure you like the taste of it, as it will be quite evident.ย โฃ
* Granulated sweetener of choiceโ€“ I like stevia.โฃ
* Almond butterโ€“ Smooth and drippy almond butter, with no added sugar or salt.ย โฃ
* Maple syrup or honey-Gives the protein bars sweetness, and holds them together. You can use agave nectar or brown rice syrup if you prefer.โฃ
* Chocolate animal Cookies or graham cracker-Crumble up for the delicious cookie flavor. โฃ
* Milk of choiceโ€“ To help form the dough into bars! Can be almond or oat !ย โฃ

In a large mixing bowl, add your dry ingredients and mix well. Add in your almond butter and syrup, and mix until a crumbly texture remains. Slowly add the milk, until a thick batter remains. Gently fold through your crumbled chocolate cookies. Transfer the protein bar batter into a lined 8 x 8-inch pan. Refrigerate until firm, around 2 hours. Once firm, cut into

There are phases in training that lend different outcomes.

Most would assume that larger muscles produce the most force. This simply isnโ€™t true. While larger muscle mass and overall physical size may provide some strength advantage, ๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ง๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™ข๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š ๐™œ๐™ค๐™–๐™ก๐™จ and appropriate training approaches will differ if you want ๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™ข๐™ช๐™จ๐™˜๐™ก๐™š ๐™ข๐™–๐™จ๐™จ ๐™ค๐™ง ๐™ข๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™š๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™ฉ๐™.
Muscle building aims to induce hypertrophy of muscle tissue with the muscle gaining overall size. On the other hand, strength training aims to increase the functional ability of the muscles.โฃ

๐—›๐˜†๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ต๐˜† ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด requires higher training volume with more frequent workouts, more sets and reps -typically using lighter weight and shorter rest periods in between sets.โฃ

๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ด๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด has a lower training volume (fewer days, longer rest periods) but higher intensity. The goal is to lift heavier weights with fewer reps and sets. โฃ
โฃEven ๐˜ฏ๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ต ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ๐˜ด are different between the two. And those numbers will change during each phase.

Point is, everyone needs a roadmap and a clear idea of what their goals are. You can have it all but you have to start with what you need the most at first.
