Our Veterans team remains dedicated to serving the community by supporting fellow Veterans and their families. This weekend, they stayed busy at Adaptive Foundation by APEC, participated in a health fair, and attended a Veteran Support Commission event.

🎉 We celebrated Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month with a Fun Day at our Carthage Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) center today! Over 100 individuals from across East Texas came out to enjoy games, music, food, giveaways, and social activities promoting inclusion, support, and community.

Huge thanks to our donors and supporters for making this event possible! Together, we’re building a more inclusive East Texas. 💙

Partnerships like this are essential to the mission of Community Healthcore. We sincerely appreciate the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Valdez, and our very own, Rachel Harrington for prioritizing mental health in Rusk County and supporting individuals with serious mental illnesses.

Rusk County Sheriff Johnwayne Valdez said the jail has about 15 people with severe mental health conditions. Red River County Judge Bridges and county commissioners declared March 2026 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in Cass County this morning. 🧡

Our committed Board of Trustees member for Red River County, L.D. Williamson (pictured on the right), and also our Director of Nursing and Crisis, Brenda Clark attended the proclamation to raise awareness about IDD services. Thank you, both, for all you do!
