The answer might surprise you!😮

Yoga Teachers are students on the path of yoga who share what they’re learning and studying personally to guide you through a practice that attunes with their developed nervous system regulation and harmony.

As Yoga Teachers we carry the responsibility of honoring this thousands of years old practice and lineage to acknowledge its roots and help a new generation of humans find connection to themselves and the Divine in all. And that starts from the inside out!

Yoga Teachers create environments where healing can occur; the full integration of body, mind, and spirit.

When we get to touch these moments on the mat of everything coming together, that’s where the bliss happens.✨

The more we learn to recognize what integration feels like ON the mat, the more we can find it OFF the mat.

Ready to up-level your yoga teaching or find out what becoming a yoga teacher is all about?

DM me! I offer 1:1 sessions for mentorship and coaching, to help you show up as your BEST self in all areas of life.💛

RYT-500, trauma informed and pain care aware certified, Yoga Therapist in training, studio owner, YACEP, Yin certified, death doula and holistic coach.

My yoga teaching journey has been through many iterations for me to arrive here.💛✨

And there’s not a final destination, this is a practice in endlessly becoming more and more of what I believe I’m divinely led to be.

I started teaching at the studio I now own back in 2018, and I’m sure I have some old pictures I’ll find and share in my stories!😁👆

I love how yoga blends strength and softness, mindfulness and physicality, the whole body, mind, spirit experience.

Today I was setting up for Yoga for Grief, and no one showed up.🤗 This isn’t the first time I’ve had a no show class, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. But we don’t like to share those things usually, right?? It can be an ego hit (external labels and identity comes into question) when we work and plan and share something heartfelt and no one comes. AND I didn’t plan or set up any differently than I would if I’d had a room of 25 already registered. 🤗 I’m here, consistently showing up for something I believe in, and I know when the time is right I’ll also match up with all of you who need this space.

I’m so happy to be here, humbled and grateful for what I do and that I get to share these practices every week.

It’s all I’ve ever done, just kept showing up on my mat. My life, my body, my mind, my practice, looks RADICALLY different than it did 8 years ago.

I can’t wait to see what transforms next and where we are 8 years from now.☺️💖

A note for humanity, from one real life person to another. We heal in community, not in isolation.❤️‍🩹

Group co-regulation, 1:1 individualized support, and practices tailored to what’s really happening in the world right now is what I’m here for and WHY holding steady offerings at is so important to me.🙏

As a death doula, grief coach, and yoga therapist in training, it’s so important to me that we not pretend like everything is just ok.💔

When something happens on a national or global scale, we all feel it. Grief can be individual AND part of a greater group experience. Whatever our political views may be, neighbors talk about it, coworkers hold stress and tension can color interactions and mental focus, even the ways we breathe, walk, stand, and make eye contact changes.

I’m here to walk alongside you so that you know you’re not alone.

Yes, we can work together in person or on zoom.

But you can also send me a DM.

Group classes at Santosha Yoga Collective happen weekly:

•Yoga for Grief Tuesdays at 10:30am
•Yoga for Stress Thursdays at 10:30am
•Therapeutic Yoga with Brainspotting Tuesdays at 6:30pm
•Somatic Experiencing Flow Saturdays at 9am

This is not just movement. It’s not group fitness. This is movement, mindfulness, meditation, and practices for life.

Come and be with us. We’re here to hold space for all of you.

These past few months I’ve been in death Doula certification training (and we’re done in two weeks!)🤍🤍 So what does that mean?? A LIFETIME of learning, deep witnessing, and walking alongside others in grief, loss, and transition begins.

Many of you have heard me say for years that I’ve known this is my path, but I also haven’t shared it much out loud. Saying yes to starting Yoga Therapy training was easy when I saw that studying grief, end of life, and terminal illness was part of it.❤️‍🩹

Now, combined with my holistic coaching certification from a few years ago, everything is coming together, and the universe whispered “it’s time”.

This has mostly been a journey for me, and is so very personal.

But this story is why I became a yoga teacher in the first place, why I steward , and why I’m now fully claiming this phase of my life. Not because I feel “ready” but because I know I’m a human that can walk alongside others and partner with people to get where they need to go, whether in this life, or into the next.🙏

Stories of these pics!
•beautiful flowers at sunset on the land where we have death Doula classes
•recognizing the full spectrum of life is happening all in one day, all the time, is the biggest gift
•I let myself stand in the rain, feel it on my face, got soaked, and was laughing my ass off! All because I went outside to take that gorgeous sunset cloud picture with the palm tree in my backyard that was happening at the same time >>
**fun fact about me: I’m a little obsessed with clouds.
•discovering art in Half Moon Bay while visiting a friend recently was an instant YES for my truck
•My inspiring teacher-guide-mentor-friend who has the best podcast-lesson voice everrrrr
•My gorgeous death Doula journal, because in Compass Doula Collective we help others find their way. I’m not in charge, but I can help navigate a tough time filled with lots of emotion.
•and last (but not least) my tea mug at a brunch date I had with one of the friends that’s been at the start of it all, when we would sit and chat about “someday” hosting death Cafe at the studio or grief retreats. Here we are.💛
