When feeling ready to taper off of medications, have the conversation with your primary prescriber.

There are multiple approaches to de-prescribing. Each person gets to have a proper assessment, tailored protocol, and appropriate guidance.

Some prescribers are short on time given the practice models they work within. Some prescribers choose to follow a systemic approach. Some prescribers think outside of the box.

What aligns with your personality type. Who is a part of your support system? What tools do you already have in your toolbox? What are your goals?

Breath work, Sleep Structure, Nutrition, Somatic Tools, and Supplements are all tools to help support nervous system regulation during a medication taper.

The medication was doing a job and now we get to find supportive ways to replace that job.

Stacking too many changes at the same time confuse the nervous system.

Changing too many variables can lead to destabilization.

When tapering one medication at a time, you allow clarify in the feedback your body and mind are giving you.

The Nervous System Sets the Pace

The Nervous System decides when we taper down, not the calendar.

Symptoms are feedback and not a reason to quit.

Wait until feeling stable before dropping the next dose.

Trust your body and lean in to the experience instead of resisting, then it won’t feel like a fight and will be gentler on the body.

What can you expect when tapering off of medications?

There are four questions to start with:
💊What medication are you tapering?
💊What is the dose of the medication you plan to taper?
💊How long have you been taking the medication?
💊What is the half-life of the medication?

The main goal is to mitigate withdrawal symptoms when tapering off of medications. There are many different herbs and supplements that can be utilized to support the body to assist in making the weaning process gentle on the body and the mind.

Working with a trained and experienced professional provides safety and support while coming off of medications.

Together we will crate an individualized plan, minimize withdrawal risk factors and symptoms, and have weekly meetings to talk through what you are experiencing and how to best support your body and mind during this process.

🪨Earth is the most solid, dense form of matter, without it there would be no structure for life to exist. Naturally occurring in minerals, elemental charges, water systems and sunlight. Connecting to forests, plants and the land are gentle ways to bring balance and healing to the body.
🪨 In the body earth is represented by the bones, teeth, connective tissues, cartilage , liver, spleen, intestines, abdomen and skin.
🪨 If out of balance one will be resistant to change and stubborn. In balance grounded, present, and secure.

Earth is represented by a cube in the Platonic solids. The cube is a three-dimensional SQUARE; it is a symbol of stability and permanence, of geometric perfection. It represents the final stage of a cycle of immobility, it can be seen as the truth, because it looks the same from any perspective.

Integration is an integral part of processing newly discovered pieces of self. Illuminated ideas, perspectives and behaviors that may feel unfamiliar are now brought in to awareness. This new understanding of self takes time to incorporate in to day-to-day life.
Entheogens or psychedelics (as well as other therapeutic modalities) can bring us back hone to ourselves. Through processing and integrating these newly illuminated ideas, perspectives, behaviors become clearer as you begin to embody healthier ways of being.
Integration brings together the meaning of what emerged during the trip. By collecting pieces of information through reflection and associating meaning to this information a person can create healing tools and new coping mechanisms.
Integration can be confronting and profound. If adequate time and energy are given to this part of the journey, then the results can last a lifetime. Free from past constraints and/or blockages. True happiness. Self-love like never before.
Integrate and normalize your new way of being, level up, elevate and inspire!
