On plant based milk… I’m VERY lactose intolerant 🤢 so this is for dairy milk alternatives.

Many plant based milks have processed ingredients to make the texture similar to dairy milk.

1️⃣ sugar
2️⃣ carrageenan
3️⃣ xantham gum
4️⃣ guar gum

It’s always great to eat & drink food in its truest most organic form. I went on the hunt and found a couple almond milks I really love 💕 and am also starting to make my own at home. More to come as I get the recipe down. 👩🏿‍🍳

Took a little bit of extra time with breakfast this morning. ❤️Blueberry ricotta pancakes were the perfect start to the week❤️

✅ 1 cup GF pancake mix
✅ 2 tbsp butter
✅ 3/4 cup milk (or milk alternative)
✅ 1 egg
✅ 2 tbsp ricotta cheese
✅ 1 tbsp vanilla

🫐 Blueberries added in the mix & topped with raspberries

One of my favorite reads. What The Heck Should I Eat by Dr. Mark Hyman. His explanation of our food system and navigating all its craziness is straightforward and simple. Each chapter covers one essential food group (fruits, veggies, fats/oils, meats etc), with suggestions on better options. 10/10- would highly recommended.

Waffles + Mochi 🧇 is just about the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. Such a great way to learn food & nutrition and the joy cooking can bring.

In the first episode I learned:
1️⃣ A 🍅 is actually a fruit. We just cook with it, like a veggie. It’s all about the seeds inside.

2️⃣ Ask for what you want. If two puppets can ask for and get a job with no experience, YOU CAN TOO. Your is your .

3️⃣ Fresh food is a universal love language ❤️

4️⃣ You belong wherever you are. Take up space!

5️⃣ It’s never too late to learn something new.
