Sometimes our perspective of comfort needs to be shattered.

I need it, you need it.

Every time I find this place I feel im unlocking a new level.

Seeking feeling alive? confidence? Satisfaction? Drive?

Sometimes I find myself stuck, complacent. Which means it’s time for a paradigm shift. A process that will never end.

This is being human, where we flourish.

Is that not the goal? to Flourish, to look back knowing we’ve learned all we can?

And that we’ve brought others with us.

We seek to drive deep impact.

If that’s you, there’s more of this to come.

Let go. (Held at private location in Idaho)

Weekend reflections: Be an asset not a liability

To all those wild hooligans that answered the call. The uniform was simply the beginning.

The asset vs liability balance is up to us. Individual responsibility, with collective support.

(I’ll always remember these kids, saw them every week for months, and wonder what they’re up-to now, they taught me a lot about happiness and gratitude)

Sometimes all it takes is changing the lens through which we see things.

Like the first time wearing night vision, you realize how many stars are out there that you’ve never been able to see before.

Every time i’ve felt stuck in a certain place, i’ve worked on changing my lens.

Actively see the world differently, and we will find greater opportunity

Multiple times, life has changed with one realization…

That I’m not on a path that was MINE.

True nature begging to be set free.

I experienced this going into college, before entering the military, and within a year of leaving the military.

Multiple iterations of the same pattern.

When lost, we tend to default into what we've been shown to believe was "success."

Many of us have blindly chased one mountaintop, only to wake up and realize we are on the wrong one.

So I'm curious, for those who have succeded by today's standards, what is the dream you still hold onto? What's stopping you?

Shoot me a message, or send to a friend..

We are creating a tribe of those who are free from self imposed limitations. This is all part of a larger project.

Human potential will never exceed my willingness to do uncomfortable things on a daily basis, driven by discipline and purpose. Constant expansion of potential brings satisfaction. - notes from morning mental processing

A few (too many) thoughts of the day on Gratitude.

A concept i have struggled with greatly my entire life. At least in the ability to hold onto it for an extended period.

So why, even if i know it is a key to an optimal life, and I have examples of people who seem to embody gratitude is it still a struggle.

Have I gotten drastically better at it, yes, but that doesn’t negate the struggle.

I’ve realized it has more to do with the frame of which we see time. The most basic form of understanding gratitude is from the lens of the present looking back on the past. It is where you are today vs. where you were.

This creates a positive relationship between expectations and an old reality. This also shows us the importance of growth.

If we want to remain grateful, then we must continue to grow and evolve. Not produce, acquire, etc…. It could be those things, but Grow.

So if a goal is to live a life content with our past, and gratitude is the data that shows us whether or not we were successful, then a purposeful life would be filled with growth.

The next level of this progression would be to find deep levels of gratitude within the present, without the frame of the past, as well as gratitude for the future, which shows complete acceptance of the outcome.

This too will be a lifelong endeavor of growth. I hope maybe that can help someone else, as I know it will help me.
