LETS TALK POSTPARTUM FAT LOSS ⤵️⤵️

This client had recently given birth when she signed up with Jovita Lifestyle coaching...

Postpartum clients have to be given a different set of protocols, especially if they are breast-feeding or if they had a C-section.

This client was especially concerned about her diet not affecting milk production... we were able to keep her calorie deficit high so she was able to lose fat and still have proper milk production.

This is such a good example, that every single clients protocols will be completely unique and different... if she was to just enter her height & weight into a calorie calculator online or MFP, the calories given to her could have been way too low and could have impacted her breast feeding.

So proud of this hard working mama and how she's been able to juggle her busy life, a newborn, and the coaching program! 💪🏾💪🏾

I often tell my clients “if your goals are that important to you, you will do what you have to do to make it happen” and this client is the embodiment of that phrase!

She has been able to heal her relationship with food and all or nothing thinking when it comes to diet and exercise! She’s truly made this a lifestyle!

When times are tough and your tired and unmotivated, those are the times where you’re dedication is really tested on a fitness or weight loss journey. When you allow your fear to hold you back, you’ve already admitted defeat.

Fear keeps us stagnant. It keeps us complacent. And it keeps us in situations where we are just settling.

When we focus on the worst case scenario, or the failing, or something being too hard we are just blocking our blessings.

You know what’s worse than possibly failing? Never trying at all and never knowing what could have been!

All successful people have failed at some point in their pursuit of greatness. Failure is a part of success!!

We learn to walk by crawling first, we fall off our bikes over and over when learning to ride as kids, so why are we so scared of making mistakes later in life!?

Well it is. And that’s why you need to stop worrying about the scale!!!!

Muscle weighs more than fat! That’s a fact! So as your lose body fat and gain muscle obviously that will affect the scale!!

Sometimes that means the scale stays the same, sometimes that means the scale goes up!

PROUD is an understatement!!

This client is the perfect example of a mindset shift!

She started out with shedding off pounds right away! Because she’s a wonderful person to be around, she was constantly asked to go out to brunches and dinners with her friends which led her into a plateau. (Hard to track food = hard to continue weight loss)

After some 1:1 mindset talk, she completely shifted her focus and told herself she WILL make choices that will improve her journey.

From then on, she has made incredible progress with learning to cook from home as well as having a BALANCE of being able to go out with her friends from time to time and even having a stress free vacation on a cruise!

No excuses, if you want something, you WILL find a way to make it happen!

ABS. How to get them?

If you have boughten or seen workout programs out there promising ... “Washboard ABS in 30 days”.. “Belly Fat Blaster Workout” ... “Fat Burning Stomach Exercises” .. “30 day 6 pack challenge”... I’m here to give you some hard truth.. They are all bu****it.

There is NO exercise out there that will burn belly fat. You cannot spot reduce fat. Nor does fat loss come from exercise, it comes from your nutrition. The workouts only help build and tone the muscles, not burn the fat.

So how do you get ABS? Short answer: Your Diet. You can do ab workouts all day but if you still have a layer of fat on your midsection you will never be able to see the abs underneath. And the only way to get rid of belly fat is to be in a calorie deficit.

So it boils down to 2 things:
1. Doing exercises to strengthen your core and build up those abdominal muscles
2. Shedding the body fat with a calorie deficit designed for your body.

( #2 being the more important thing)

The amount of change you can make in 90 days is incredible!!!!

When this client came to Jovita lifestyle coaching, a little less than 3 months ago, she was fed up with not being able to lose weight and keep it off.

She had done all sorts of restrictive diets and workouts plans in the past and none of them worked for her.

When she started noticing her friends transformation, she asked her what she’s been doing and she told her about the Jovita lifestyle coaching program.

When I first got on a call with her she was extremely skeptical. She said she saw her friend (who was on the program) eating Cheesecake Factory, California pizza kitchen etc and the weight just kept coming off. She thought there had to be a catch…

Well 90 days later she’s a believer!! She now understands portions and balance for her body. And is still enjoying life while making amazing progress!

The reason why you have a lack of motivation right now is because you are either trying to dodge a tough challenge or you're trying to avoid the feeling of discomfort. This stems from self doubt.

Maybe you're having a tough time finding motivation to workout. You may be in a state where you tell yourself you’ll do it later, then you push it to the next day...and then the next day and next thing you know, you’ve gone 3 months without moving your body. You don't have to be a competitive bodybuilder to approach dumbbells. You don't have to be a professional athlete to go on a walk. You don't have to be good at anything to do anything!

If you’re waiting for motivation to strike or you’re waiting until you’re good at something to do it, then I hate to break it to you...but you’re never going to do it.

10 minutes of moving is better than sitting around all day. Attempting to cook is better than ordering fast food every day. Whatever is holding you back right now, just get it done.

Remember your “WHY?” 🙌🏾🙌🏾

When it comes to any goal and especially a weight loss goal, you have to really dig deep and understand “WHY” you want to reach that goal.

Your “WHY” should be deeper than just looking good in a bikini or trying to get back at an ex with a revenge body.

The more shallow the reason, the less committed you will be to the goal!

But if you dig deep and realize that your “WHY” is to have a better quality of life, not just in the short term but the long term that will shift your whole journey and make it more serious.

Whether that be health issues you want to avoid, or stopping the dieting cycle and self confidence issues at home so your kids don’t fall into the same pattern.. the reason of “WHY” you’re on this journey is always deeper than the initial response.

YOU DON'T NEED TO WAIT FOR THE NEW YEAR TO WORK ON YOUR RESOLUTION!!!

This client is a perfect example of a lifestyle-based approach to fat loss 🙌🏾🙏🏾

She's been able to shed pounds and inches over the course of the last few months, while still enjoying life, and even going on a two week vacation to Mexico where she indulged in food and alcohol!

She's going to go into 2022 with a HUGE head start on her goals!!!

Now imagine if she decided to wait until the new year to start!?? She then would feel more rushed and more inclined to take drastic measures to attempt to lose weight.
