Hello Everyone,

I am excited to introduce a new product from Elabscience: the Adenosine Diphosphate (ADP) Fluorometric Assay Kit (E-BC-F009).

ADP is a nucleoside essential for energy transfer reactions within organisms. Generated through the hydrolysis of Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), ADP plays a crucial role in releasing energy. It is primarily found in dense granules within platelet cells and is released during the coagulation process. Upon release, ADP interacts with ADP receptors on platelets, influencing their shape and biological activity, thereby expediting platelet coagulation.

Our kit utilizes a detection principle involving the catalysis of ADP and a substrate by enzyme reagents, leading to the production of a chromogenic agent that emits fluorescence. Using a fluorescence microplate reader, we measure fluorescence at an excitation wavelength of 535 nm and an emission wavelength of 587 nm. The ADP content in the sample is then determined based on a standard curve.
