Hotter doesn’t always mean more effective. It’s not the temperature that makes the difference.
Infrared saunas work differently than traditional saunas. Instead of heating the air around you, they use infrared light to heat the body more directly.
Because of that, the heat tends to feel more gradual but it reaches deeper into the muscle. That’s why a lot of people notice they sweat more, even at lower temperatures.
After a workout, your body is already under stress. Blood flow is elevated, tissues are working to recover and your nervous system is coming down from that effort. Sitting in an infrared sauna can support circulation, which plays a role in the body’s overall recovery process.
It also gives you a window to slow things down, a few minutes where your body can shift out of that high-output state. Some people use it before training as a way to warm up. Others use it after to help with soreness and recovery.
Either way, 10–15 minutes is usually enough to feel the difference. Ready to try it for yourself? Come unwind in our infrared sauna today.
