Did someone say CINCO DE MAYO??

INGREDIENTS
2 oz tequila
1 oz FRESH lime juice
2 tsp powdered Swerve (I’d try liquid stevia or lime mitoplex)
2 oz orange-flavored seltzer

INSTRUCTIONS
Prep your glasses. Cut a wedge of lime and run it around the glass rim. Put coarse salt onto a plate and dip the rim into the salt and make sure it’s coated.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, and powdered Swerve. Shake well.
Add orange seltzer, and only give it 1 or 2 gentle shakes, so the seltzer doesn’t fizz up.
Fill your glasses up with ice and pour margarita over ice. Add a lime wedge and serve.

Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? 🍓 I used to think so, but now I know…. NO! It’s not!

Your body is always in 1 of 2 states:⁠

#1 Fed state 🍔 when your body is digesting and absorbing food and either using it for immediate energy or storing it for energy later.⁠

#2 Fasted state 🍽 when you have digested and absorbed your last meal entirely and are now using stored fat for energy.⁠.. THIS IS THE GOAL!! 🎯

Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern where you cycle between periods of eating and fasting.⁠ We are all fasting when we sleep.

Personally, I extend my fast by drinking my NAT in the mornings. They naturally suppress my appetite while fueling my brain and body so I eat my first meal when hungry (typically lunch or later).

Not only is fasting beneficial for weight loss, but it also helps keep your blood sugar and energy stable and can increase mental clarity! 💥

🚫Avoid "artificial sweeteners": Splenda, sweet n low, nutrisweet, & equal; these contain sucralose, aspertame, sacchrin, maltitol or Maltodextrin and affect blood sugar levels.

✅Use “alternative sweeteners": Monkfruit, Stevia, Erythritol [Swerve] & Allulose; these have minimal or zero glycemic index👍🏾.

This is awesome because it is a fair representation of what the scale looks like as you are consistently losing fat over time.

This is why I preach to STAY OFF THE SCALE!!! It is a number...and a number that will drive the wrong mental behavior, especially when you're doing all of the "right things" yet still focusing there.

Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. And if you’re doing the right things and if you must measure progress, focus on inches lost (try a soft measuring tape or a specific pair of pants) and how you feel!
