In our COMMUNITY BIRTH DOULA TRAINING that concluded last week, participants learned about the ugly history of medical experimentation on enslaved black women, and how black women have the highest rates of maternal death in the United States today. They left with knowledge and skills to advocate for pregnant women and work to end patriarchy and racism in maternity care and end locally and globally. They left with knowledge and skills and passion to end racism and patriarchy and and promote . Change is coming...well-behaved women never make history which is what we are doing.
