No truer words and hopes for the future.

When Wonder Willa naturally strikes a pose, speaks her truths without hesitation and confidently pursues any activity (no matter how challenging itโ€™s told to be), it makes me wonder what happens to women as we grow up.

Why are we reprogrammed to not speak up for ourselves? To always obey โ€œauthorityโ€? To be less curious? To question our inherent strengths and to continue to challenge our weaknesses?

This conversation can (and should) go in so many directions, but to keep it short and sweet for nowโ€ฆit is not all in your head, you havenโ€™t done anything wrong to deserve this, and you do not have to feel this way forever โค๏ธ

Everyday is a new day to make decisions that change the trajectory of your life, and the lives of all whose lives you impact.

My hope for you is that you can reflect, or look in the mirror, and say wonderful things about yourself.

Life has little meaning without death. While emotionally painful, it gives purpose to this one life we have ๐ŸŒน

Taking a moment to honor my grandmother, who was reunited with my grandfather this past weekend, the love of her life since she was 7 years old ๐Ÿค

When we were little, my mom would drop my brother, sister + me off at my grandparents house on her way into work at the hospital. Weโ€™d get in bed with my grandparents + fall back to sleep, then wake up to Mickey Mouse waffles before my grandparents walked us to preschool down the street from their house.

Some of my best memories were made with my grandparents + siblings ๐Ÿ’–

Iโ€™m taking this week to process, grieve, be with family, but Iโ€™ll return to my usual, authentic self next week, supporting my thyroid warriors on their often winding journeys.

Remember that sitting with your emotions, truly processing them and expressing them in a way that releases you from them is what allows healingโ€ฆfrom difficult moments in the present + from the past.

Accepting the this process, the challenge, + the vulnerability is a huge part of your thyroid + autoimmune healing journey, too ๐Ÿฆ‹
