01/01/2026
2025 was a year of fitness and oh did I enjoy the discipline. It was my year of choosing myself, choosing consistency, and choosing to show up even when it would have been easier not to.
I started the year with a simple but very real goal of running a half marathon, so I signed up for and fully committed to training. I wasn’t running casually. I was putting in at least 40 miles a week. And not to be dramatic, but running genuinely saved me during a time when I needed it most.
By the end of 2025, I had completed:
• 5 5Ks
• 2 10Ks
• 1 15K
• 2 half marathons
Midway through the year, I got injured, and instead of giving up on my fitness altogether or telling myself I would start again “someday,” I made the decision to try something new so that I could stay connected to my body rather than abandoning it. That decision is what brought me into the gym, where strength training, rehab, and learning how to move differently became part of my routine and, eventually, part of my ritual.
Then, I created Reset60. I realized that what I actually needed wasn’t more motivation but structure, nervous system regulation, and a way to stay consistent even when life felt emotionally heavy.
But the bigger shift was spiritual. This year expanded my understanding of spirituality in a way I didn’t fully expect, because it reminded me that spirituality isn’t only about the mind or intuition but also about the body, discipline, and self-trust, and that there is truly nothing more spiritual than taking care of your physical body and continuing to show up for yourself through discomfort rather than quitting when things get hard.
Its the beginning of the new year, so I’m restarting Reset60 again, and I’ll be sharing that journey too, so if you feel called to rebuild your relationship with consistency, movement, and choosing yourself in a grounded, sustainable way, you’re welcome to join me.
Btw “DtMF” on repeat is the best running song 🏃🏽♀️
