Last week I shared a video about the importance of feeling rooted and secure in the first chakra, known as Muladhara.
Once we establish a sense of safety and stability, we can begin to move that energy upward into the second chakra,
Svadhisthana—the center of sweetness, pleasure, and joy.
This is where we allow ourselves to feel, to experience life more fully, and to reconnect with the natural flow around us.
In yogic philosophy, one of the four aims of life is Kama—the experience of joy and pleasure. It’s an essential part of living a balanced and fulfilling life, and it supports us in aligning with our dharma.
As yogis, it’s easy to become rigid or overly disciplined. But true practice invites balance. It asks us to soften, to receive, and to bring more sweetness into our daily lives.
When we allow joy in, we open ourselves to greater creativity, ease, and flow.
How do you invite joy into your life? ✨
