Reiki derives from the belief that every living being emits an energy field, a belief supported by multiple scientific studies on resonance and frequency. When we as human beings experience dis-ease, that energy field becomes imbalanced. Reiki allows us to right that imbalance and heal energy fields by transmitting Universal Energy, or Ki Energy, through the palms of our hands. This method is othe

rwise known as a hands-on-healing technique or palm healing technique. The concept of universal energy can be found throughout both ancient and modern cultures. It is Chi in China, Prana in Hindu India, Mana in Hawaii, Ruah in Hebrew, Vitality in Western Philosophy, and even The Force in popular culture. The goal of Reiki is to keep energy flowing throughout the mind, body and spirit in order to achieve perfect harmony. Studies have shown that Reiki can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, relieve insomnia, and accelerate the body’s natural healing processes. Consequently, a Reiki practice can be beneficial for those who have suffered physical injury or illness, are recovering from surgery, or experiencing psychological imbalances or emotional pain. Tip Tuesday 📚

One of the most powerful things you can do for your mind, your spirit, and your sense of self is simply this: read more.

What often surprises people is that thousands of years ago, humans were already deeply contemplating consciousness, spirituality, and meditation in ways that feel incredibly relevant today. These are not new questions. They are ancient, living inquiries that we are still walking into.

One of my favorite examples is Marcus Aurelius’ *Meditations*. Here is a man who ruled an empire, yet turned inward again and again, realizing that the true work is within. For him, reflection and meditation were not luxuries, they were the answer to the restless human mind.

You see this echoed in Buddhism as well. The emphasis is not on who or what you pray to outside of yourself, but on the inner landscape. The real transformation happens in how we observe, understand, and work with our own minds. In many ways, this beautifully parallels modern psychology.

Unfortunately, in today’s world, reading has become something of a luxury. Finding even one hour to sit down with a book can feel almost impossible. Life moves fast, and stillness can be hard to claim.

So here is my Tip Tuesday offering: audiobooks.

I love Audible for its vast library and incredible narrators, and Speechify for using modern technology to bring to life books that may not even exist in audio form yet.

This is how I make it work in my own life. I listen while doing laundry, washing dishes, commuting to and from work… all those in between moments that would otherwise just pass by. It turns daily routines into something meaningful and nourishing.

The most important part? Find a voice that resonates with you. Truly listen. The tone, rhythm, and energy matter. Nothing drains the experience more than a voice that feels off. When it aligns, it becomes something else entirely… almost like the text is speaking directly to your soul.

Start small. Stay curious. Let the words work on you.

Life becomes clearer after having turned 40. You begin to realize what actually matters and what doesn’t. Peace of mind becomes a greater priority than any justification to anyone. A good night’s sleep can feel like a blessing, not something to be ignored. You work hard, but not to put in the hours — you work smart. With travel comes happiness in the form of seeing new places. Instead of chasing drama, you choose calm and balance. Your life is no longer for others to impress but about finding joy in your own. So protect your peace, enjoy yourself, and spend time doing what genuinely makes you happy.

✨ Tip Tuesday
One thing I always keep in my treatment space is a selenite log placed beneath my massage table.
During an energy healing session, there can be a natural release of energy, emotion, and tension. I have found that placing selenite underneath the body creates a subtle support for that process, helping to clear what is ready to move without it settling into the room.
Selenite is known for its cleansing properties and its ability to bring alignment to the energetic field. It has a very light, almost luminous quality that helps to clear density while restoring a sense of balance.
I have been working with this practice for over 10 years, and it has served me well. It helps keep the healing room energetically clean while allowing the work itself to unfold more freely.
It is not something I focus on during the session. It simply becomes part of the environment, quietly supporting the work as it unfolds.
Over time, I have come to see that tending the energetic space is just as important as tending the body itself.

✨ Tip Tuesday: Mark the Sky ✨

One simple practice I love is marking major astrological events on my calendar.

Not because the planets control us.
But because cycles invite awareness.

The sky becomes a mirror.
It helps us notice subtle shifts in mood, communication, relationships, and inner growth.

If you’re curious, two places I personally check:

🌙 Pam Gregory on YouTube, my favorite UK astrologer
🌙 The CHANI app, which you can download and personalize to your birth chart

Awareness is the real magic.

Try it this month. Mark one date and simply observe.

DOMAID 🤍
On Monday, February 2nd, Dominic had a sudden and severe reaction following a tooth extraction that sent him to the ER. What began as a dental infection quickly revealed deeper complications affecting multiple organs, requiring hospitalization.
Thanks to an incredibly talented team of doctors and nurses, his organs have been steadily trending in a healthy direction. He has been improving since February 4th, and we are so grateful.
However, his healing journey is not over. He now requires a specialized Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to remove a discovered abscess and infected jawbone and tooth. Surgery is ahead, and it is clear he will not be able to work for the month of February.
Between hospitalization, surgery, and recovery, the road will be long and the medical bills will be significant.
We are calling this Domaid. Showing up for Dominic the way he has shown up for all of us.
If you feel called to support him with prayer or loving energy, please send it. And if you would like to share a financial contribution, please PM me for details.
Every act of care is received with profound gratitude.

Our Story

Reiki and Sekhem-Khrem derive from the belief that every living being emits an energy field, a belief supported by multiple scientific studies on resonance and frequency. When we as human beings experience dis-ease, that energy field becomes imbalanced or impaired. When people come to Reiki or Sekhem-Krem they either have some experience with alternative energy healing or no experience at all. Whatever your level of experience may be, Reiki and Sekhem-Khrem is an extremely non-invasive practice with noticeable positive effects on stress, health, and energy.
