Have you ever heard of a God box? I know some of you have. ๐Ÿ˜‰I was recently reminded and nudged about it and remembered its profundity. Serendipitously, I found this tea box to repurpose. Here's how this works: anything that is keeping you up at night or causing stress, anxiety, fear, write it down with today's date and put it in the God box. Make a soul pact to let it go. This means no ruminating. It is a committed surrender. If and when the desire to control returns, pause, breathe, remember your committment. Choose a date to go back, read what you surrendered. My resolve is 3 months. Notice what has changed. If God is not for you, use any name or entity you connect with. It just need be a greater source than the egoic self. Ask me any questions you have. Let us know how you feel after doing this.

Simple slow deep breathing, anchoring, rising, feeling, expanding, contracting. To honor oneself is to truly show up with whatever is. Some nights it is very hard to sleep. That's normal. Lately I cry a lot more than usual. That's normal too. We are grieving a life we thought we knew, even if we were aware of some of the illusions already, we are grieving that. We are grieving the loss of many lives. Lately, I have been setting intention where I imagine these deep breaths being sent to those feeling restricted in breath. Each action we take in love sends a ripple effect. In this, we heal ourselves, coming into the parasympathetic nervous system, and we heal others. Much love to you all. ๐Ÿ™โค

Happy St. Patrick's Day! My Mother made this many years ago. It seems I have had it forever and I will keep it for the rest of my days. In these uncertain times, may it bring you peace and hope. "Love one another as I have loved you" John 15:12. We are undergoing challenging times. In this, we have opportunity to rise above. There is fear, uncertainty and even panic. It is essential that we discern, educate ourselves, practice radical self care, love one another and feed our mind, body and spirit with positivity. Remember, the mind body is fed by what we take in both individually and collectively. "Heyam duhkam anagatam" Patanjali Sutra Book 2:16; translation~ "Pain that has not yet come is avoidable." As a teacher and student, I seek ways to offer solace and peace while maintaining my own practice. Practices that help center the mind, balance the body, boost the immune system, and calm the central nervous system. For the time being, I am not offering hands on assists. All of the studios I have the privilege to support are taking extra precautions. Each one of us has a responsibility. Just know, this too shall pass. Meanwhile, I am investigating remote means of support for those who may be in need. In gratitude, love and light. ~ Namaste

Take Back Your Time!๐Ÿ•ฃ So often we tell ourselves all kinds of things about time that are simply not true. We tell ourselves we don't have time to care for ourselves in ways that are easier, and happier and more fulfilling. ๐Ÿค”
It isn't our fault. Lots of the confusion comes from conditioning. Unwinding old thought patterns, stepping into new ones is very hard to do on your own. Fortunately, through my own mistakes and realizations, I am here to help you take back your time and make significant changes in your life.

My first career spanned 16 years as a Radio News and Traffic reporter. ๐ŸŽ™The last seven years of this time-clock driven careerโฑ I worked any shift and was on upwards of 30 radio stations in Los Angeles. I became ill.๐ŸŒก You might expect my lessons ended there and I became a master of time. Nope, I wasn't done. โ˜บ Arriving back in NY to reinvent myself, I worked in Sales and once again succeeded, but I was overdoing it again and became ill again. ๐ŸŒกHaving dipped in and out of Yoga classes for years, I heard and heeded to calling to become a teacher. ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธAs navigated my schedule as a full time teacher, I found that what had been so difficult before was now easy.๐ŸŒž Deep commitment to health, passion combined with practical know-how works! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Friends started coming to me with their challenges and I offered my insights and experience. The feedback has been amazing.

I'm offering a six week "Take Back Your Time" course. We have one scheduled hour-long phone sessions per week to discuss your challenges, and I provide tangible solutions with homework, accountability and awareness. Through this we benchmark results and begin to carve out a more fulfilling life for you. More fulfilling life? Yes! No more excuses! When old ideas no longer hold you prisioner in your own self imposed paradigm (again, not your fault), there is great freedom. Call me to learn more and set up our sessions. Note, these sessions will be on the same day, at the same time weekly. Consistent commitment.

Earlier this week, I had an interesting conversation with a friend about surrendering and falling. We move, riding the waves of the breath, listening within, actively engaging the muscles we need to engage and we trust. Then in those instances of loosing the breath, we may fall. We learn, that we can relax into the fall, rather than brace the fall. We can trust, and we get up and we do it again, with new information. Just like in life. It's a mirror. The mirror of mat to life and of life to mat. Breathe, trust, fall, get up, breathe, trust, abide, abide, abide in the pose, abide in the situation, abide in the circumstance, learn and grow, grow, grow.
