Your google searches looking like this lately? Here’s why 👇

The fact is it could be a number of reasons that those darn yeast infections keep recurring. But all of those root causes have to do with your body’s internal environment being out of balance.

Candida is opportunistic. That means it looks for environments where it can grow and thrive. 🦠

Your diet, alcohol use, history of antibiotics, hormonal birth control, stress, daily habits and more are all fueling this environment for Candida. 👎

👉If you’re ready to get to the root cause of your candida issues and are ready to fix it for good, comment or DM me the word “FIX” to get the link to my step by step Candida healing program.

It’s the same method that helped me heal from over 3 years of monthly yeast infections, and has helped hundreds of my clients to get their health back.

In a matter of weeks, you could be back to yourself, with those yeast infections far behind you. No more google searching, no more stressing. Feeling confident, healthy & happy. Let’s do this 😘

Flashback to just around when my chronic yeast infections began….

Back then I’d start everyday of my long work commute drinking a full naked juice (green machine and berry veggie were my favs) and downing a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I thought I was being healthy, choosing veggies/fruits for breakfast instead of something heavier. Sound familiar?

(To be clear: there are plenty of benefits from having fruits & veggies, but read on about the candida connection!)

Did you know that 1 serving of Naked’s green machine juice contains 28g of sugar? And guess how many servings are in a single bottle? TWO!!

Raise your hand if you’ve had a full bottle of naked juice in one sitting? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I definitely have.

That’s nearly 60g of sugar first thing in the morning! (Not even including that skinny vanilla latte I had too…and maybe a bagel thrown in there some days as well). I was essentially throwing fuel ✨AKA sugar✨ on the fire already forming in my gut, sending my body more and more into a candida overgrowth state without realizing it.

When on a candida diet, one of the things that’s good to hit pause on for a bit is fruit juices. So it’s important when buying green juices to see how much fruit is actually in them.

The first 5 ingredients in Naked’s Green Machine are all fruit juices or purées (remember, ingredients are listed in hierarchy from most to least included): apple juice, mango purée, pineapple juice, banana purée, kiwi purée. Only after those are the “green” ingredients included, in smaller amounts.

So what’s a good alternative? I love juices, especially their all-veggie (other than lemon or lime, which are candida friendly) green juices. You can find them at most health food and grocery stores.

No matter what brand you buy, just make sure to check both the sugar content and ingredients if you’re on a candida diet & trying to avoid fruit juices ✨

What are your favorite go-to juice alternatives for the candida diet?

Wishing you all a wonderful & restful weekend. ✨

After a week of seeing friends and lots of activity up in Portland, we’re hitting the road for our last week of camping again on our way back down the west coast.

I’m looking forward to totally unplugging for 2 days while we camp out of service this weekend, so I can be present with my family.

What are you looking forward to this weekend? What’s something you can do for yourself to help you ground & rest? ❤️

New month, new intentions!

What are a few intentions you’ve identified for yourself for this new month?

If you don’t have any, try picking one or two from this list to implement for the month! 💕

Having digestive issues and not sure where to even begin? Start with these 3 tips! *save for later *

As simple as they may sound, how often do you take a moment to prioritize these 3?

BREATHE: deep breathing is a great way to calm your body & mind, to ground yourself and to activate your parasympathetic nervous system (aka “rest & digest”). So by prioritizing deep breathing at the start of a meal, you’re setting yourself up for better digestion ✨

CHEW: this one feels pretty obvious. But how often do you actually really chew your food down to basically liquid before you pass it along through your digestive system? I remember reading in ’s book how “your stomach doesn’t have teeth” and it’s so true! Your teeth have one main job - to break down down food before it goes to your stomach (and your saliva that builds as you chew actually helps this process, too!)

Try to notice the next time you eat how much you chew & if you could be doing any more 🙌

BE PRESENT: are you guilty of eating in front of the tv? Or while walking/standing? Or in the car? 🙋🏻‍♀️ we’ve all been there. But when you can, try to prioritize taking a moment with your food, away from other distractions. Have a moment of gratitude for the food in front of you, notice how good it tastes, breathe and chew! Being in the moment and mindful while eating can help tremendously with your digestion. 👍

Which of these are you already crushing? Which could you be better about in your own life? Share below 👇

Do you struggle with prioritizing rest? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Feel like there are a million things to do at any given time? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Put everyone else’s needs before your own? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Me too. It’s been a real work in progress for me to prioritize rest, especially with working for myself full time now.

But the more I’ve learned about myself as an entrepreneur, and especially as I’ve learned more about my human design (splenic projector 🙌), I’ve tried to listen more to the ebbs and flows of my energy and to honor that my need for rest may be more than other folks.

I’ve been incorporating rest into my workdays more and more lately and am finding that it’s actually making me MORE productive and gives me MORE energy to focus on the things I care about most. I’ve been hustling and working nonstop for years, working 2 jobs the last few years even, and am realizing that now I can finally try to structure my days in a way that’s more beneficial for my energy.

Rest & self care for me these days looks like:

✨building in at least 10-15 min blocks of time between clients so I can get outside for a few min in the sun between calls
✨grounding outside for at least 10 min a day when I can
✨taking moments for deep breathing throughout my day
✨practicing reiki on myself
✨trying to build in time to eat lunch peacefully and not be too rushed
✨submerging myself in water - on long coaching days I get into a bath after the last call to cleanse myself of others energies and focus on my own self care after helping everyone else with theirs.
✨ ending most of my workdays in time to pick up my daughter from preschool so I can have my evenings free with her
✨ closing down the laptop (most days at least!) at a decent hour and setting boundaries in my day between work & family/rest time.
✨ structuring my weeks to allow for more family time & travel this summer. It’s been empowering to realize I can continue to support my clients and get work done while also prioritizing this for myself ❤️

Do you struggle with work/rest balance? How do YOU implement and prioritize rest in your workdays?👇

4 years ago I was at my rock bottom.

👉 I was 3 years into suffering with monthly yeast infections and BV.

👉 I’d suffered from unimaginable pain from lichen simplex chronicus, which flared any time I had an infection.

👉 I was struggling to lose weight.

👉 My anxiety was through the roof.

👉 I frequently had canker sores, dandruff, and itchy athletes foot.

👉 My body image, motivation, and ability to be energetic & active were dwindling.

👉 My relationship was suffering, and I was still a newlywed 😭

Doctors told me things like....

😩 “some people just have this happen to them and we don’t know why”

😩 “are you sure you’re changing your underwear/workout pants?”

😩”let’s try another round of fluconazole” 🤷🏻‍♀️

😩 “I don’t know, let’s test for herpes” (🤦🏻‍♀️)

And not once did they ask me about...

✅diet/sugar intake
✅alcohol & caffeine usage
✅stress management
✅sleep
✅history with antibiotics & birth control
✅digestion

The last 4 years have been a wild ride. I healed myself through nutrition & lifestyle shifts. I radically reduced my stress management. I started to set boundaries and prioritize my own needs more than those of others around me (still a work in progress 😉) I got pregnant and became a mom. And I eventually followed this new healthy path to becoming certified as an integrative nutrition health coach, now helping other women rewrite their stories too. This year I quit my day job and made this my full-time focus 🙌

It’s incredible, 4 years later, to look back on my health crisis with gratitude for what it really was for me — an awakening, a much needed shift in my life, an opportunity to change courses, to deepen my relationship with myself and to find my purpose in helping others.

Never in a million years would I have thought that I’d look back on my years of infections and other issues with gratitude. 😳

But here I am, feeling so grateful for where my path has taken me and for whatever is still to come. 🙏

Thank you to all of you who have supported & lifted me up over these last 4 years! 💕

I’m curious— what brought YOU here? Where are you in your health journey? Share below! 👇

One of my absolute favorite swaps! Are you on the chia pudding train yet? 🥰

So many people struggling with Candida overgrowth also struggle with sugar cravings, especially at night! But try to remind yourself in those moments that it’s actually the CANDIDA that is making you crave that sugar. If you don’t want to keep feeding the Candida, you’ve got to stop giving it things like ice cream at night (I know, I know 😭)

The next time you’re feeling that urge, try some chia pudding! Takes literally minutes to prepare (just mix chia seeds & your favorite milk alternative!), then pop it in the fridge to let it form for a couple hours or even overnight. I usually batch prep a few mason jars of it at a time so it makes for easy snacking when I’m in the mood later on.

If you already love chia pudding, how do you enjoy it? What toppings or milk alternative do you use?

If you decide to try it, let me know what you think below! ✨

Eating yogurt to help your gut & fight yeast infections? The kind of yogurt you eat matters!

Dannon “Activia probiotic yogurt”: a single 4oz serving of their most popular fruit yogurt contains TWELVE grams of sugar, 8 of which are “added” sugars. (And the instructions on the package say to have two of them a day!). Over 15 ingredients listed, many of them totally unnecessary/harmful for gut health.

Culina coconut probiotic yogurt (plain & simple flavor): a 5oz serving has only 1g of sugar and ZERO added sugars. Ingredients are clean and simple - organic coconut, agar, probiotic cultures. That’s it! Plus, coconut has anti-fungal properties to help fight Candida too 🙌

If you’re fighting gut issues, adding 12+ grams of sugar to your yogurt will not help, in fact it may even make things worse. Does the Activia have beneficial probiotic cultures? Yes. But you can get those so many other ways without all these added ingredients, that in my opinion, overshadow any of the benefits.

Have you tried ? Another favorite of mine is cocoyo. Mmm off to go make a coconut yogurt bowl now... 😍

Simple & nutritious Candida-friendly Rainbow 🌈 salad! ✨save this for later✨

This is it take on my favorite, super versatile “rainbow” salad. I like to have a mix of fresh & cooked veggies. Key ingredients I use:

👉 quinoa (I love to cook mine in broth for more flavor!)
👉 kale

Then add all kinds of ingredients that you have on hand. The more color, the better! 🌈

❤️ tomatoes, red peppers
🧡 sweet potato or butternut squash (if you’re eating these)
💛 yellow peppers or cherry tomatoes
💚 avocado, cucumber, or cooked asparagus/broccoli/zucchini
💙blueberries if you want a little something sweet
💜 red (purple) onion, or sauerkraut
🤍 goat/feta cheese if you’re eating these, or sauerkraut ( )

Protein: while quinoa is a complete protein, you can also top the salad with animal protein like chicken or salmon. Yum!

Dressing: My favorite dressing is super simple: Lemon, olive oil, salt, pepper. Put ingredients into a small mason jar and shake vigorously to create dressing.

I make a big batch and eat it 2-3 times throughout the week.

Angelika came to me after struggling for over a DECADE with recurring infections. She’s tried the diet, though admitted maybe not for long enough. She’d tried all the pills, creams, suppositories and more.

When we started working together we looked at her current lifestyle, habits, diet, and supplements that could be impacting her health or contributing to the infections still. But maybe even more importantly, we looked at where she was holding onto stress, past trauma and limiting beliefs, and needing to set better boundaries to protect her mental and physical health. In our time together it was amazing to see her began to find her voice even more, and to see the shift in her mindset as she finally began to believe that she could be healthy and rid of her infections for good. I am so proud of the progress she made in only 3 months & am grateful to have been a part of it ❤️

If you’re struggling with chronic infections or digestive issues and are ready to finally kick them to the curb with more support, accountability, and education... now’s your chance!

I’m currently holding discovery calls for June start dates. My available spots will fill up quickly — is one of them yours? ✨
