It’s impossible to be mentally healthy when we lack the most basic fundamental knowledge of our relationship with our Body, whose main goal is for us to be at peace. Our relationship with food is a window into that relationship, as it is with all our innate needs, thus an intricate part of our mental health. Earth has written a book on nutrition, and it’s titled “Nutrition for dummies”. The different colors of the magic that grows provides all our needs, and are glaring invitations to have fun with different antioxidants, multivitamins, proteins, carbs, fat, etc. Our Body will let us know when we’re hungry and full, but not what and when to eat. That is where I, our free will, our warrior meets knowledge of self, knowledge of environment, and our innate creativity. It is our responsibility to know and inform our body what’s available in our environment, and our Body keeps record, including the nutrients that we get from them. When hunger is communicated and we instinctively think of what’s available, our Body tells us which food has the nutrients we need at that time based on foods we’ve eaten before, healthy or not, which leads to us having a taste for that food. Our Body will do the best with whatever we eat, healthy or not. There is no cognitive dissonance if we don’t know something is unhealthy, but, once we do, that need that’s at the root of LOVE, sustenance of life, kicks in, triggering cognitive dissonance. Most rationalize it with calling something that causes chronic inflammation in our Body, which is the foundation for disease, a “treat”, yet, if/when disease manifests due to the “treat”, they most definitely don’t label the disease a “treat”. If we find out something is unhealthy, after it’s become a habit, and we consciously choose to break the habit by disagreeing with calling whatever it is a “treat”, which means our Body is informed, emancipating from that habit is guaranteed. We lose the taste for that “treat”, and I speak from experience.

Eating healthy is only “boring” when we lack harmonious intimacy with the magic that Earth performs right before us, and our innate creativity is so enslaved that we forgot that we are an intricate part of the magic.

This is one of my favorite yummy dishes to make, and, within, I always hear a resounding “YES!”.

Earth’s ingredients: Olive oil, Garlic, Onions, Tomatoes, Cayenne pepper, Turmeric, Lima beans, Green beans, Spinach, Green peas, Carrot, tri-blend Quinoa, and Salt.

Blanched and cut up tomatoes stewed in Olive oil, Onions, Turmeric, and Garlic, then added rest of veggies till desired tenderness. Season with salt as desired. So easy. Can be eaten with Quinoa, as pictured, or your favorite whole grain.

The first part of my course, “Foundations for healing”, goes into the formation of the mindset that needs to be changed, and why healing is a choice. A big lesson I’ve learnt in working on finishing the course is the non-clarity of thought that comes with trying to impose time, human creativity that’s one of our primary sources of anxiety, on finishing it. I’ve learnt the huge difference between “It’s going to take time to finish” and “I want to finish by this time” when it comes to being masters of our mind. Our conscious mind, the domain of our free will, cannot be ruled by human creativity if we want to be mentally healthy.

19 children! I’m totally sad about the adults, but the children. Elementary age at that. As a parent I can’t even imagine taking my daughter to school and picking up her dead body, so I can’t even begin to imagine what those parents are going through, or any parent for which this has happened. I’d like to say I was shocked when I found out about the shooting, but I wasn’t. Surprised, but not shocked. When you follow world news you understand that we adults are killing our children on a daily basis, and, when you add all the other atrocities of our clueless species, it’s very easy to be desensitized. For the almost six decades that I’ve been fortunate to have this magical gift of life it’s been the same response by us adults to these atrocities. Finger pointing, “...sending out prayers”, “...hearts go out”, and laws upon laws. How about we as adults all shove our pointed finger, prayers, hearts, and laws up our asses. Maybe it’ll wake us up to look in the mirror and choose to stop doing the acrobatics that have us avoiding facing the emotional pain we need to face in order to emancipate from our nurtured divisive ideologies. A mindset that’s symptomatic of low intelligence. The elephant in the room is human nurturing, and it is only when we stop burdening our children with our dumb s**t that we’ll see change.

There are fires everywhere, and, if we don’t feel the heat, feel the need to put it out, and are making choices to satisfy that need, we’re part of the problems that ail our society. We can choose to face the challenge of being part of the solution or keep coping with the unavoidable emotional pain of enabling our disconnect from our oneness. I, my nurtured free will, used to be aligned with being part of the problem, then I free willingly chose to 1: admit my problem 2: solve my problem, which meant finding the root of my problem 3: address the root of my problem. Now I’m unabashedly part of the solution. In doing the free will battle within to address the root I came to see that it’s the same for us all. Human nurturing that has us constantly seeking to be patted on the back for doing the bare minimum to maintain our life energy, while abusing the heavy lifters. Our personal Body, and the Body that we are an intricate part of, Earth, which provides the needs for all species. When we are one with our heavy lifters, we share with all, not just our species.

Never seek validation or idolize anyone, or anything that cannot be the source of the air that you breathe, be your respiratory system, make food grow, be your digestive system, be the source of water, etc. We only do that when we are in nurtured boxes, cages, chains, thus walking around like an open wound, living in absence of love for our gift of life. Willingly compromising the priceless things that sustain our life energy.

Our thoughts are the conduits of energy that power our emotions, and our body responds to them, so, clarity of thought is priceless. It is one of my top priorities in putting this course on healing, not just coping with mental illness together. There is absolutely no clarity of thought without having the most basic knowledge and understanding of the way our mind works, because our healing lies in changing our mindset.

This is a snippet from my upcoming course on healing from being mentally unhealthy.

I speak from experience when I say that as long as our brain can form new neurons, and memory formation is functional, healing from mental illness is not just a possibility, it’s a choice we can make. The very notion of healing from mental illness is not a popular idea, as evidenced by the acrobatics we go through to cope with the symptoms rather than address the root, which is our nurturing. Addressing the root means setting boundaries against the very people, and things in which we seek validation, which is what makes healing the road less traveled.

Joint mobility is crucial to movement, and there’s no joint mobility without our muscles being pliable. It’s our responsibility to know the planes(ways) of motion in which our body moves, and to keep our joints mobile, muscles flexible in all those planes.

Once we choose to get over our nurtured self-aggrandizement or diminishment that’s symptomatic of mental illness, and humbly seek validation in the needs that we don’t have to think about, we feel/know without an iota of a doubt that our gift of life is the cup that overflows. Nothing is or was ever missing. We are free spirits manifesting unbridled creativity, unequivocally in service to the functionality of our innate needs, instead of false needs. One with our Body, thus one with our source. Without this redefining of what love is, which means going from absence of love to abundance of love, there is no healing, just coping with being mentally unhealthy.

Movement is a need, and it’s the best stimulant for our brain. As technology is getting our species more sedentary by the second, it’s imperative for our mental health that we make exercising, in a way that’s in harmony with our body, a priority as a part of satisfying that need. Creative progressions are a great way to keep utilizing those new nerve cells formed in our hippocampus, so our brain can create new neural pathways as exercises get easier due to pathways already created. The first time I saw the BOSU (Both sides up) was years ago when I took a fitness class, and it was challenging having both feet on it. Now when I do this single leg squat exercise with biceps curl and row into spinal rotation, knowing the challenges to proprioception and spatial awareness, it reinforces the amazement I have for our brain that’s still mostly not understood.

This apple tree and our body are one. Serving their purpose to sustain and celebrate life via harmony with Earth. We have the free will to live by a mindset that’s in harmony with this purpose, making us mentally healthy peace warriors, or disharmony, making us mentally ill pain warriors. The latter fosters the society we have now (wars, disease, strife, etc.), while the former fosters a peaceful society. Our conscious mind is where we do our thinking, and it is the domain of our free will, so, even if we’re in disharmony, which means we have an enslaved free will, we can always choose to fight back to being in harmony, thus taking the road less traveled back to the peace that’s always been within, which we passionately defended with our free will when we came into the world. That’s where being the ultimate warrior, peace warrior comes in, and future generations need us to make that choice.
