t's high time to put this fatalistic and psuedoscientific narrative to bed.

Brains are malleable, and relationships can be developed and ceased.

Accepting this does not negate the possible utility of abstinence for some, but it does recognize the possible value of moderation for others, and it frees many from a false life sentence based on old notions.
