The air feels like fall
But the flowers still look full.
My family gathered
Some new some now gone
I met a long lost friend of Mitch’s
We slept so well and then not at all
Alternating
Full and fall
Rocked by a boat
Soothed by rain on a tin roof
Dreaming of giraffes underwater.
I went all the way into the ocean.
Water has the quality of mercy.
Mercy mercy me.
We ate and how we met stories.
We mourned and mended and made new memories.
Maybe making memories is one way we fight back.
Maybe it’s how we refuel for the fight.
I sit charging up for the flight.
Doing this because I really do hate saying goodbye to all of the blooming.

The original alt comedy show. Now in our 27th groundbreaking year. Currently we are on zoom every other Sunday! Why the Un? Unhomophobic, unxenophobic, unmysogynistic. Unhacky.

Creatrix Beth Lapides hosts comedy luminaries and their musical muses. Each show is a one time only night. Comedians, writers, actors and personalities share their ongoing stories.

In addition to the live weekly, monthly or now bi-monthly show, UnCabaret has appeared on Amazon, Comedy Central, sirius, and featured in and on CNN, NY Times, PBS, LA Times, Entertainment Weekly, NPR etc. UnCabaret is stories and storied. It’s intimate, conversational and funny.
