POLICE SCANNERS?, ARE STILL USEFULL BECAUSE OF 2 REASONS. Although most police stations have all switched to "trunked systems ",Which makes overhearing all the chatter pretty Tough. There are Scanners that can Decipher Trunked Systems, BUT Fire,City and Police DISPATCH can still be heard on normal radio scanners ..*BUT ITS THE NEW FEATURES THAT ARE TOTALLY UNKNOWN AND UNDERESTIMATED, SPECIFICALLY IN THE STATES WHAT'S CALLED *CLOSE CALL TECHNOLOGY*especially for you ice crushers. Basically besides picking up regular frequency transmissions between radio and dispatch of law enforcement but close call technology does is basically scans all frequencies within about a mile to 3 mile radius of where you live and it doesn't pick up kids walking talkies it can be adjusted to pick up only major radios in other words you can be in your room and just have it on and if anyone of law enforcement or with a city radio meaning it's very strong starts transmitting it alerts you that there is somebody with a large transmitter in your area and you can listen in so regular kids playing with walkie talkies might get picked up but if you have a police car coming at your house looking for you and talking to three other cars on a major radio frequency that's law enforcement uses this close call technology will tell hey you've got someone coming tomorrow from the house like ma*****na growers out in the woods if they're out in the middle of the mountains and there's no homes for 10 miles if they hear any kind of chatter on their radio with these close call technology radios which are not expensive they come on the most basic or scanners if they hear anything on there they know they're being watched they know that the police are watching them unless it's hundreds but odds are if you're getting a frequency coming in too close call it's literally what it sounds like you're having a close call meaning get through to take off with a walkie-talkie or a police car nearby and this is really a branch off of something that's amazingly brilliant but not get able to work for the systems in the United States and England which is known as Target blue eye and was Target blue eyes it makes you radar detectors obsolete because it will tell you and your car literally any cop car that's anywhere near you even undercover cars down to a foot so people can drive with 100 miles an hour and he will tell you to slow down you got one more two miles it'll even pick up a police car driving over the bridge because the trunk systems they use send off a certain energy or wavelength that can be picked up by monitors those monitors are installing your car like a radar detector the only person that uses them are the city police department or ambulance so if it starts going off you're guaranteed there is a cop in the area and it'll start beeping more and more if you're getting if it's getting closer and closer but it never misses Cost about $1500 but they don't yet have one for the United States version of trunk systems known as p25 it's different than England and Europeand I doubt it would be legal, but I'll put a video of it in action that damn sure would sell.
