I just spent 15 minutes typing out my unfiltered response to this question I got in stories (swipe to reveal) šŸ‘‰

I wanted to expand on my original answer because I feel SO passionately that…

1) YES, it’s important to have health goals and to always be nurturing our mind, body & soul but…

2) NO, I do not think we always need to have new physique goals.

As someone who was a chronic dieter for over a decade, I thought the way my body looked somehow made me more worthy or lovable.

I didn’t think it was possible to take a season off dieting or hardcore workouts (unless it was unintentional because I ā€œcheatedā€).

But the constant obsession with weight loss and restriction took away from my ability to focus on other things like my hormones, relationship with myself, growing my passions and spending time with people who loved me (regardless of how my body I looked).

I’ve worked with dozens of women over the years that have chased a certain body composition or ā€œlookā€ for SO long that they develop hormonal & gut imbalances, fertility struggles and lack of confidence that impact their careers, passions, relationships and big dreams.

It’s šŸ’Æ percent possible to release weight in a sustainable and healthy way (I JUST did a post on how I would go about it before the new year) but it should come with the right support, built in breaks and nervous system and mindset work…

So maybe this is a beautiful season for you to focus on physique and fitness goals and push yourself outside your comfort zone (and I LOVE that) but maybe it’s not… and that’s ok too. What does your gut say? šŸ¤”

What do you want to make your power focus for this season? šŸ’„

If you want support stepping into 2.0 self (physique goals or not), send me a DM with the word READY because I’d love to help guide you in your current season…. mind, body, soul & cycle šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Transformation is about SO much more than what’s on the outside… šŸ¦‹

I remember when a 10 year relationship sounded like an eternity and here we are 12 years married and 15 years together and we’re just getting started! Happy anniversary to the yin to my yang 😘

The 3rd to last photo is us on a tiny island in Panama after Josh proposed to me in a shack on the sand with a cheap bottle of rum to pour in our coconuts … it was so perfect and SO us 🄄

The 2nd to last photo is our engagement shoot taken by my photographer Dadio (we look like babies!) and the final pic is our wedding day in which I quoted Dr Seuss in our wedding vows šŸ˜†

People say marriage is hard and I won’t argue that but meeting J and falling in love was the easiest thing. ā¤ļø

We moved to South Korea to teach English 6 months after meeting and have spent the past decade finding excuses to travel and go on adventures together.

Both of us could care less about designer clothes or bags but when it comes to traveling, learning about new cultures and bonding with random people around the world, that’s our version of a rich life…

and sometimes that’s looked like staying in hostels and sneaking into hotel pools and other times it’s looked like treating ourselves to ocean view hotels and boujee dinners. 🌊

And even when we can’t travel as much as we like, we find ways to make life exciting… during the pandemic we had theme nights at home recreating different places we’d traveled to (cooking the cuisine, playing the music, dressing the part). šŸ’ƒ

I may not know exactly what’s next but I know we’ll continue to go on adventures together, we’ll continue being the best damn dog parents and we’ll never give up on ourselves and each other.

Here’s to celebrating life and all the magic we’ve already created and all the magic that’s to come šŸ’« šŸ„‚

I used to LIVE for the weekends.

Counting down the days until I was finally ā€œfree.ā€ Free from the hustle, the rules, the expectations, the stress.

And when I wasn’t living for the weekend, I was WAITING for the next vacation to feel excited about life again.

But here’s the thing: I wasn’t actually living. I was sitting in the waiting room of my own life… waiting to feel happy, grateful, spontaneous, calm, and present.

When I finally stopped waiting for the weekend, the vacation, or the next big ā€œlife upgradeā€ and started creating reasons to feel lit up by my life now, everything shifted.

Last weekend, my hubby and I took a staycation just an hour from home. Sure, we would’ve loved a European summer, but instead we brought Europe to Orange County.

We pulled up photos from our favorite 2019 memory in Italy — sitting on a balcony in robes, eating room service and re-created the whole vibe. Robes, balcony, dinner, sunset, giggles and bonding time.

But here’s the best part: you don’t even need a hotel to give yourself vacation energy.

✨ A few ways to create joy right where you are:

šŸ§–ā€ā™€ļø Stay in your robe all day + order takeout like it’s 5-star room service.

šŸ—ŗļø Play tourist in your own city: bike tours, farmers markets, picnics, new cafĆ©s.

šŸ‘— Pull out that sexy dress you’ve been ā€œsavingā€ and MAKE the occasion.

šŸ’ƒ Try new movement: dance, walking in a fresh neighborhood, a fun class.

šŸ½ļø Host a themed girls’ night for laughter, bonding, and connection.

In other words: don’t wait. Stop putting your joy on hold for ā€œsomeday.ā€

When you choose to prioritize your happiness now, life expands. More opportunities, more surprises, more JOY show up... simply because you decided you’re worth it and you’re done waiting.

Tell me below, what’s one little thing you could do this week to bring more vacation vibes into your everyday life? šŸ‘‡

What if every NO was just making space for a bigger YES? šŸ™Œ

What if these ā€œsetbacksā€ were simply detours pointing you toward the exact path your body needed to heal, grow, and thrive?

Because the road to ā€œbecoming herā€ is never linear.

And maybe a linear path is what we *think* we want, but is it really? Wouldn’t life be boring AF if it was all perfectly predictable?

Some of my biggest wins in life have come off the back of some of my greatest ā€œfailuresā€ or disappointments.

Some of the most beautiful relationships have come as a result of a rough breakup and being given the opportunity to remember who I am and what I deserve.

Some of the best memories and hilarious stories have come from the epic adventures that went the OPPOSITE of the plan (including my engagement! šŸ’)

Even becoming a health coach happened because of all the rejection and struggles I faced…

Life/ the universe has a way of rerouting you when you’re headed in the wrong direction for the season of life you’re in.

Because what’s meant for you won’t miss you. ā˜„ļø

So next time something doesn’t go the way you planned or prayed for, ask yourself:

How could this actually be protecting or redirecting me? How could this be happening FOR me?

You may not see it right away but I promise, you will soon šŸ«¶šŸ¼

If you’re ready to start seeing the roadblocks and failures as part of your next up-level, my coaching is where we make that beautiful shift together.

šŸ‘‰ DM me the word READY to apply for 1:1 support and let’s turn your ā€œrejectionsā€ into redirections that actually feel like freedom.

08/17/2025

After working with hundreds of women the past 7 years both with my private clients and via , it is undeniable the impact that our food choices have on our menstrual cycles.

And it’s not JUST the food, it’s the mindset we have when we eat, how we speak to ourselves and the space we give ourselves to slow down, chew and fully digest and ENJOY our nourishment. šŸ™ 🄘

Do we believe in a balanced approach? 100% (I just had a cocktail, burger & truffle fries this past Friday) but I am a BIG advocate for making swaps in intentional ways that better support the way we desire to feel.

This isn’t about purging your entire kitchen or stressing over every label.

šŸ‘‰ It’s about making simple, strategic changes that lower inflammation and support your cycle, one grocery haul at a time.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the ā€œshouldsā€ when it comes to nutrition and hormone health, here’s where to start:

Focus on the foods you eat most often and consider a 30-60 day ā€œexperimentā€ where you make a simple swap

Track symptom changes and patterns in a period tracking app like or and start to notice any changes in how you feel when you make these swaps in the luteal and menstrual phases

The 5 swaps in today’s post are easy wins that you can grab at most grocery stores, so you don’t have to overhaul your routine to feel a real difference.

Example: swap sweetened oatmeal for organic rolled oats with a scoop of protein powder, sprinkle of nuts & seeds + drizzle nut butter for a protein and fiber packed breakfast that better balanced blood sugar!

If finances are a concern, start small and think about the little upgrades you can make and shop at places like Costco where you can save a LOT of money by buying in bulk.

Another great option? which is a nationwide produce delivery service that also carries grocery staples and tons of awesome brands at lower prices than most grocery stores!

What’s ONE swap you’re making this week to feel better during your period? Tell us below!šŸ‘‡

I FINALLY dumped the narcissist I was with for most of college and I SWEAR I dropped a layer of inflammation overnight.

There’s a lot of advice RN on how to ā€œget snatchedā€ and most of it centers around nutrition and workouts (TOTALLY valid) but what’s missing in the conversation?

The inflammation we carry from being in toxic relationships, saying YES 24/7 (when our body is screaming NO), unprocessed emotions, traumas and chronic people pleasing...

When we release inflammation from the emotional weight we carry, it can be felt (and seen) in our physical bodies too.

So if you’re doing ā€œall the right thingsā€ in your diet and exercise but still not seeing results, it may be time to go inward.

✨ This is exactly the work I do with my 1:1 coaching clients… helping you uncover the hidden stressors, rewire the patterns that keep your body in survival mode, and create a plan that supports both your hormones, your cycle and your highest self.

If you’re ready for results that last because they’re built from the inside out, DM me ā€œREADYā€ and let’s talk about your goals and get to action making them a reality. šŸ¦‹

How you pack your weekender bag is MAJOR when it comes to supporting your body and your hormones when outside of your ā€œnormalā€ routine. šŸ’¼

Comment ā€˜WEEKENDER’ below and I’ll send you my latest voice note on the .0podcast where I literally pour the contents of my weekender bag onto my bed (post Oregon trip) and go through each item at random, breaking down exactly WHY I packed it and how it supports me. ā¬‡ļø

(Check the shownotes for exclusive brand links and discount codes)!

As YHB’s Holistic Health & Mindset Coach a few of the most common questions I get include:

šŸ‘‰ What are your favorite quick protein snacks?
šŸ‘‰ What supplements do you swear by when you travel?
šŸ‘‰ How do you stay on track with your health and/or weight loss goals when you’re out of town?

And to be honest, it comes down to MINDFULNESS and pre-planning my non-negotiables! Here are a few things I ALWAYS do when I travel to keep my hormones happy, my mood & energy levels stable and bloat at bay!

1- Always pack protein rich snacks to balance blood sugar and keep from getting ā€œhangryā€ which leads to overeating (swipe right for ideas)

2- Bring my own healthier treats instead of relying on convenience stores or airport markets (this saves calories, money & stress)

3- Get in movement wherever I go! I walk as much as possible vs. taking ubers and include active activities (i.e. hiking, exploring on foot, swimming etc)!

4- I take my heavy hitter supplements but I don’t pack everything. For example, I love ’s ā€œBloat Be Goneā€ tablets for reducing bloat after heavier meals!

Which of these items are you going to try next?

You know those friends that you can go 5 years without seeing and within an instant you’re picking up right where you left off? That’s and . 🄹

We started out as college roomies almost 20 years ago… every weekend was a party.

Cheap tequila shots to start the night, 5 inch heels, chunky belts and animal print tops. Dancing until 1am, deep conversations until 3am and then waking up and (somehow) making it to the library (or a hangover brunch) the next day…

These girls have been with me through some of my lowest lows and highest highs.

They’ve cried with me, danced with me, laughed hysterically with me, gone to bat for me and told me I was worthy and beautiful during the times when I couldn’t see it for myself.

They have been present for some of the most important moments of my life like standing by my side on my wedding day… and this weekend we got to shop for šŸ‘°ā€ā™€ļø dresses for Monica’s upcoming day which was so special.

Side note: I was a bridesmaid in Sarah’s wedding but woke up with food poisoning the morning of and had to miss the ceremony… we still plan to photoshop my face into some of the photos šŸ˜†

SO much has changed in our lives and as people and yet what hasn’t changed is the way we show up for each other and how we make each other feel.

I’m constantly reminded that our environment shapes our evolution and I feel endlessly grateful for friendships like these that have grown with me through every season (and every identity shift).

šŸ‘‰ If you’re on a health journey right now, ask yourself:
Are the people around me reflecting the version of me I’m becoming? Or the one I’ve outgrown?

Because healing isn’t just about what you eat or how you move your body. It’s about who you invite to walk beside you (even if sometimes it’s just in spirit). šŸ’›

I CANNOT believe our mom Candace just turned 77 because her energy, vibrance, mental sharpness and wit are honestly that of a 57 year old!

My sis and I just returned from her birthday in Oregon wine country and we also sat down IRL for a real, off-the-cuff (totally her style) conversation on what she’s learned about herself and her body over the last 50 years.

Want to listen? Comment the word GRACEFUL and we’ll shoot you the link to the .0podcast episode šŸ‘‡

In this mama-daughters chat you’re going to hear her raw and hilarious stories from her 20s, 30s, and 40s — from starting hormonal birth control in the 1960s (and dealing with acne + mood swings), to experiencing a traumatic miscarriage, navigating pregnancy in her late 30’s & early 40’s and experiencing a bumpy ride with perimenopause.

This episode is filled with truth bombs, hormone myths debunked, and SO much wisdom for women of all ages.

Highlights:

šŸ’« The unexpected impact of hormonal birth control (and what she wishes she’d known)
šŸ’« The surprising moment she felt ready for motherhood (and why it didn’t happen until later in her 30’s)
šŸ’« What no one told her about miscarriage, perimenopause, or progesterone
šŸ’« How hormone testing changed her life and how it was the catalyst to her becoming a hormone health educator ()
šŸ’« What women in their 20s & 30s should start doing now to support hormones long-term

It’s a beautiful reminder that you’re never too young (or too old) to start taking your hormone health seriously.

And don’t forget to rate + review if you love the episode āļø āļø āļø āļøāļø
