Luz Chacon Wellness

Luz Chacon Wellness I help busy people reduce stress, reset health, and regain balance. I know firsthand the importance of caregivers learning to take better care of themselves!

I help busy women break free from stuck patterns so they can have a healthier relationship with food and with themselves. I also provide workplace wellness services to employees, particularly in the nonprofit sector focused on preventing stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue. I take a holistic, mind-body approach to helping people improve their physical health and emotional well-being. Through coaching and EFT/Tapping services, my clients are able to eat healthier, better manage stress, increase energy, improve gut health, achieve and maintain a healthy weight, create more life balance, manage stress, and prioritize self-care. My background in nonprofit health and social services organizations, inspired me to specialize in two areas: Supporting stressed out women who soothe with food to eat clean and prioritize self-care; and providing workplace wellness services to employees, particularly in the nonprofit sector focused on preventing stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue. My Master’s degree in Public Health and many years of experience in health promotion and prevention within multi-disciplinary programs has given me a very holistic approach to health, recognizing the importance of body, mind, spirit, community, culture, and the environment. I have training in a strength-based, client-centered approach, which means that I take an individualized approach to serving clients, meeting them where they are and helping them recognize and build on their strengths. I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. I am also a Level 2 Certified EFT/Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Practitioner and Certified in Tapping out of Trauma.

Menopause affects every aspect of a woman’s life — yet it’s often misunderstood, minimized, or overlooked in healthcare and in the workplace.

During a recent webinar, I learned some eye-opening statistics from :

* 75% of women who seek menopause care don’t receive effective treatment because of inadequate provider training.

*On average, women make 4 appointments before finding relief.

*This healthcare navigation failure costs $1,169 per employee per year in lost productivity from medical visits alone.

*And 1 in 10 women leave their jobs due to untreated menopause symptoms — contributing to $26.6 billion in annual productivity losses.

These numbers tell an important story — but I want to hear the human stories behind them.

I’m currently gathering insights from women in perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause (within the past 5–10 years) to better understand how this transition affects health, emotions, and work performance.

Your experience can help shape more supportive workplaces and better conversations about women’s health.

I'm on a mission to help make menopause something women are supported through — not something they have to suffer through.

This is not a day for celebration. We have lost and continue to lose freedoms.

I feel deep grief, sorrow, and anger for the current state of my community and this country.

This is not normal! Yes, this country has a long history of racism, colonization, corruption, etc. This isn't new, but now it's on a whole other level.

Some people say to me, "I'm just not political". This isn't about partisan politics. Who is not affected by the policies of this country???

It's about social justice, human rights, the right to live a peaceful, dignified, and healthy life.

It's also about having empathy, compassion, and concern for other people, especially those who are most vulnerable.

Currently, some still have the privilege of not being affected by "politics", but many don't and less will.

If you are someone who is paying attention and concerned, your nervous system is likely in fight, flight, or freeze.

We need to engage in practices that allow us to calm our nervous systems so we can think clearly, logically, and look for solutions.

We can't allow our nervous systems to get stuck in freeze. We can't allow ourselves to feel defeated and lose all hope.

We need to mobilize and take action in whatever small or big ways we can.

There are many ways to resist. It can't be business as usual.

Today we mourn; tomorrow let's resist!
