Microdosing GLP-1s is a strategy more people are using to minimize side effects while still seeing results.

Instead of starting at the standard dose and increasing every few weeks, you start taking smaller, more frequent doses — or if you need it, staying at a lower dose for longer.

In this video, Dr. Kumar will show you how to prepare your microdose the right way.

Getting your GLP-1 dose wrong usually comes down to one thing: not understanding the difference between mLs and units on your syringe.

They look very similar on the surface, so ALWAYS make sure to check the markings to avoid getting the wrong dose. Here Dr. Kumar explains you how to do it — save this for later or send it to a friend who is starting her GLP-1 journey!

"Can't you just run labs to see if I'm in menopause?"
The answer to that is NO... but that's actually a good thing for you!

Hormones during and are chaotic: they fluctuate constantly, sometimes within hours. So if you get a "normal" result, that doesn't mean you're not in perimenopause.

That's why menopause diagnosis focuses on your menstrual history (12 months without a period) and your symptoms (mood changes, hot flashes, sleep issues, brain fog, vaginal dryness, and everything in between).

You don't need a lab to validate what your body is telling you!!

❓If you're wondering whether you're in perimenopause, you might already have your answer.

✔️ The average age of menopause in the US is 51, which means most women enter perimenopause 7-10 years before that.

✔️ However, family history matters too. For example, if your mom hit menopause later or earlier than usual, that might influence when you enter perimenopause.

The tricky part is that there isn’t a single diagnostic test, and perimenopause symptoms can start while your periods are still regular.

But this doesn’t change the fact that perimenopause is REAL, and you deserve the right care and guidance for it.

🗓️ You don't know you're in menopause until you look back.

The medical definition is simple: 12 months without a period.

You can only confirm it in hindsight, when you realize a full year has passed since your last cycle. Which means… there are NO labs that determine if you are in menopause!

For women who've had an hysterectomy, we can't use periods to track timing, so we rely on symptoms and age to guide treatment decisions.

Why this matters? Because too many women are told they're "in menopause" based on labs while still menstruating — and that affects how (and even if!) they get treated.
