I am pleased and excited to announce that my latest book is now an e-book:

Chucking The Needle: How I Overcame Diabetes by Larry L....

It is available on Amazon through Kindle Direct for reading on Kindle devices (including iPads, and other Android devices running the Kindle app).

As of January 1st, I'm now two years removed from diabetes! Need I say more?

Today, I was interviewed by the Patient Education Resource Center (PERC) at West Los Angeles Veteran's Hospital, to be the patient spotlight in October/November, for my success in overcoming diabetes. I thank God, not only for the blessing of overcoming diabetes, but also for the privilege of sharing my testimony.

We overcome by the Blood of the Lamb, and the word of our testimony!

It is sad, but true: People with diabetes fail to make lifestyle changes that could promote good health, only to try to "call on God" later, to deliver them from problems they could have avoided in the first place. Real Talk.

A word to the wise: James 4: 17.

Did you know that obesity is the first cousin of diabetes? When your pancreas works and you overeat carbohydrates, you get fatter; when your pancreas doesn't work and you overeat carbohydrates, you retain sugar in your blood. Real Talk.

I find it intriguing that so many people complain about diabetes, but continue to do the very things that forces them to continue to be hindered by its effects. If you don't want to be affected by the disease, then change your habits. Doing the same thing expecting different results is the clinical definition of insanity. Real Talk.

If you really want to overcome diabetes, start with what, when, where, how, and why you eat. (Who you eat, well, it's not that important!) ~smile

Yesterday I was talking with an acquaintance who complained about the numbness in his feet due to diabetic retinopathy. I told him my numbness had stopped increasing. When I told him how, he got upset with me.

I guess some people simply would rather have something to gripe about.

It amazes me the number of websites that promote "healthy eating", while delivering untruths about what to eat and what not to eat; all the time keeping diabetics in total distress about this curable disease. What type of meat to eat during the summer has NOTHING to do with diabetes! Get REAL!

I would like to invite you to ask questions about your situation. I'm looking for people who truly are interested in overcoming diabetes as I have. Got a question? Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be open unto you!

I wonder if people really consider the ill effects of diabetes. I suffered through a heart attack, retinopathy, and neuropathy; but now that my blood sugar levels are stabilized, I can feel and see these conditions reversing. All I can do is testify about it, which is why I wrote the book. My pre-breakfast blood sugar reading this morning is 103, WITHOUT the use or need of insulin and medicine. What's yours?
