I’m so excited to be back for another year leading a breakout session at the Conference in Portland, OR! 🎉

𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞 & 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠: 𝐁𝐈𝐏𝐎𝐂 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 is a 90-minute session that’s part gentle movement, part discussion — a space just for BIPOC adoptees to slow down, reconnect, and be in the room with people who get it. We’ll move together first, then come together for open conversation around the experiences that shape us.
No yoga experience necessary. Just show up. 🤍

Events like this always remind me why I do what I do. 🩵💜

Getting to be in the same room as so many familiar faces — people I usually only see through a zoom screen — was SO refueling! The resilience, commitment, and warmth of the dysautonomia community never stops inspiring me!!

For the past two years, I’ve had the honor of leading monthly mindful movement classes online through , and being welcomed into this community has meant more than I can say.
Thank you for having me. 💛

If you or someone you love is navigating dysautonomia, come move with us. Classes are free, online, and held every second Thursday of the month at 2pm. All are welcome. 🙏

A student asked me recently when I felt ready to lead these BIPOC Adoptee yoga sessions. I told her honestly — I didn’t... but I felt a push to start anyway.

And I still don’t have it all figured out! I shared with the group that day: imposter syndrome still visits me regularly. There are times I still get nervous, still get scared — but I keep showing up for our BIPOC Adoptee community, because this space matters. I hope it connects with others, even in the moments I feel unsure.

So much of our lives as BIPOC adoptees has meant feeling like we didn’t have the freedom to just be. So this is your permission: you don’t have to have it all figured out to take up space. You don’t have to earn your place here.

And if you need to hear this today….You belong here, exactly as you are. Take up space — you deserve it. 🤎

Celebrating Chinese New Year as an adoptee has been an evolution for me.

It can be exciting and met with newfound joy — but the truth is, it can feel hard to fully step into a holiday that is rarely acknowledged in my life. At times, it feels like this celebration wasn’t meant for me.

I’m learning to explore my cultural roots with curiosity and openness.
This isn’t easy — in fact, the deeper I dive into culture, the harder it can feel.
It reminds me of what I’m not,
and of a country and family I lost.

I’m learning that I can honor what’s missing
while meeting myself with compassion.
To my fellow Chinese adoptees:
celebrate the New Year in the ways that feel right for you. 🧧✨
