BRANDING (VISION + MESSAGE)

We view branding as an ongoing process – one that is constantly evolving as your business grows. We help our clients identify and refine their vision, core values, identity, brand promise and key messaging to make sure you stand out in your marketplace. We also work with a talented team of designers who then translate this work into visual branding that embodies who you are and what you do. BUSINESS CONSULTING (EXPLORATION + DISCOVERY)

Sometimes an outside perspective can make all the difference. We help our clients identify their strengths, embrace opportunities for improvement and expand the realm of possibility. We provide knowledgeable insight into brand management and expansion, web and print presence, operational refinement and general problem solving. STRATEGIC PLANNING (CLARITY + COMMITMENT)

Many of our clients can’t see the forest for the trees. Entrenched in the day-to-day concerns of running a business, they often can’t fathom doing more. We provide thoughtful support by encouraging our clients to think outside of the box, dream as big as they can and create their own solutions. Whether through short-term goal setting or long-term planning, nothing gives us greater joy than watching our clients become empowered to innovate, expand and find flow with their businesses. COMMUNICATION (ENGAGE + EXCHANGE)

Not everyone is a natural-born blogger or trawler of the internet. M+C provides a range of communications services, from blogging and social media, to content creation, email campaigns, copywriting, copyediting and proofreading. Across platforms, we can help you engage your audience and nurture the conversation. NON PROFIT SUPPORT (PURPOSE + INTEGRITY)

Non Profit organizations play a special role in the health of our communities. We offer support to some of the most passionate and creative community builders in the form of strategic planning and relationship building, board retreat facilitation, sustainability and development consultation, grant writing, and project management. We believe that by helping these community partners stay true to their missions and visions, we can provide them with the tools to succeed in an ever-changing social and fiscal landscape. EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS + GROUP WORK FACILITATION (FOCUS + ACTION)

We believe firmly in the power of people working together to envision, experiment, and innovate. We offer educational workshops to help teams develop corporate or group identity and branding, as well as daylong or weekend retreats for branding exploration, strategic planning, marketing and messaging, goal setting, project development and other means of creative exploration. So proud of this project! The small business, community-supported loan fund that I developed to benefit the Arroyo S.E.C.O Network of Time Banks just got some big press on Shareable. Two cheers for the Sharing Economy!

Among them were that she would never qualify for a small business loan, and that developing relationships w...

It's official folks, the ASNTB has the very first small business community-sustained micro-loan program to serve a time bank! I spent the past year researching and developing the fund and in just 34 days, we raised the matching funds needed to launch in January! The campaign is still on (link below) if you care to invest in the Sharing Economy! And here's a little bit from me about why I believe so deeply in what I do...

I suppose, since it's their instinct, these goats climbing around on cliffs aren't literally insane. It's just what they do. But still...crazy. (source) (source) (source) (source) (I've included the sources of these images if I could find them. If you know...

You know how much I love to support small business owners - dare I say they hold the key to the new economy? So I'm beyond silly excited to announce the pending launch of my latest project with the Arroyo S.E.C.O Network of Time Banks: Micro-loans ($500-2,000) for small business owners and worker-owned cooperatives that would literally have the door slammed in their faces by big banks.

A little bit goes a long way with this crowd, so please donate! Your tax deductible contribution goes straight into the fund to help someone who does for the love of doing, believes in quality over quantity and wants to make a living on their own terms!

Join the Sharing Economy and help revitalize the community through small, ethical business ♥

Food for Thought on Friday: another reason why doing what you love is so important...the less you love it, the more you work at it...

“I do not particularly like the word 'work.' Human beings are the only animals who have to work, and I think that is the most ridiculous thing in the world. Other animals make their livings by living, but people work like crazy, thinking that they have to in order to stay alive. The bigger the job, the greater the challenge, the more wonderful they think it is. It would be good to give up that way of thinking and live an easy, comfortable life with plenty of free time. I think that the way animals live in the tropics, stepping outside in the morning and evening to see if there is something to eat, and taking a long nap in the afternoon, must be a wonderful life. For human beings, a life of such simplicity would be possible if one worked to produce directly his daily necessities. In such a life, work is not work as people generally think of it, but simply doing what needs to be done.” ― Masanobu Fukuoka, The One-Straw Revolution

And with that in mind, TGIF!!!

Remember these? Though this piece looks at standardized testing and school stress, it's a good reminder of how, as a society, we've accepted stress as a way of life.

“Kids are affected socially and cognitively by pressure, stress and anxiety. The central challenge for young people is learning how to manage their anxiety and stress so they can engage in their lives in a meaningful way and do the things they need to do to gain a sense of self empowerment." (Dr. Richard Vieille)

Mac's last piece of the school year for TEEN TRUTH offers a few really simple, but seriously effective stress-reduction techniques that anyone can do...especially Heart Rate Variability training ♥
