In integrative medicine, nature is one of our greatest teachers. The chorus frog, one of the first creatures to sing after winter, symbolizes renewal, resilience, and the power of voice. Its call signals a shift in seasons, reminding us that even the smallest voices can create powerful change.

As we navigate uncertain times, the chorus frog offers profound lessons:

✨ Use your voice with intention –Speak your truth, express yourself authentically, and trust that your words carry energy and meaning.
✨ Embrace transitions – Like the frog moving between water and land, we are constantly evolving. Growth happens when we embrace change instead of resisting it.
✨ Align with nature’s cycles – The frog sings at the turning of the seasons, reminding us to listen to our inner rhythms and move in harmony with life.

This tiny yet powerful being is a guide for healing, transformation, and self-expression. As we move forward, ask yourself: What voice am I meant to share with the world? What new beginning is calling me?

Spring carries the energy of Sheng Fa 生发—the rising, expanding force of renewal. As healers, we recognize that each bloom is nature’s gentle reminder of our own capacity for growth and transformation. Every petal speaks to us in quiet, yet powerful whispers of the creative spirit that infuses our healing work.

In these reflective moments, my dear friend Mark and I fellow TCM classmates gathering over cups of soothing corn tea and barley tea. The earthy warmth of these brews grounds us, reminding us that healing begins with mindful pauses and the simple pleasures of connection. Together, we share stories, challenges, and insights on our evolving journey into the medicine, letting the wisdom of tradition and the clarity of nature guide our paths.

Under the gentle canopy of sakura blossoms, our conversations flow like the seasons—honest, heartfelt, and ever-changing. We speak of our shared commitment to healing, recognizing that each sip of tea is not just a moment of rest, but a reaffirmation of our dedication to nurturing both body and spirit.

May these serene moments inspire you as they do us. Let them remind you that the journey of healing is one of continual renewal a dance between ancient wisdom and the vibrant pulse of the present. Reunited with my dear friend DC today, and it was one of those moments that reminds you that life isn’t just a series of random events. There’s a rhythm, a connection and grand design weaving through every transition, every lesson, every expansion of consciousness.

We traverse the field of knowledge and wisdom, sometimes gracefully, sometimes stumbling, but always moving forward. And then, just when you least expect it, you find yourself sitting across from a dear friend, realizing how much has changed and how much still connects. The universe isn’t just guiding us it’s winking, nudging, and occasionally throwing in a little cosmic humor for good measure.

In Eastern medicine, spring is ruled by the Wood element, which means growth, expansion, and yes frustration when things don’t go as planned. Ever feel extra impatient this time of year? Blame your Liver qi. When it’s stuck, you get mood swings, stress, and that ‘why is everyone so annoying?’ energy.

So how do we fix it?
✔️ Astrology: The cosmos has a roadmap for you. Are you meant to push forward or slow down? Let’s check your chart.
✔️ Tarot: Sometimes, we need a cosmic second opinion before making big moves.
✔️ Eastern Medicine: Qigong, herbal blends, and acupressure points can reset your energy and your patience.
