So, after a whole ophthalmologist, retina specialist, and optometrist rodeo, we kinda got somewhere. Bright side? Dr. Frank (the retina specialist, what a champ!) says I don't have any of the scary eye diseases, which is awesome. But there's always a chance it's something outside his area of expertise, you know, the whole "mystery illness" thing.
What we do know, the weird eye things aren't White Dot Syndrome, just some old battle wounds from Lyme (thanks a bunch, buddies).
This means no magic steroid solution. Instead, doc wants me to try stronger strength glasses first and see if my wonky vision chills out. If not, then it's off to Indy for another specialist.
Speaking of glasses, new ones (not covered by insurance, unfortunately) are gonna set me back $290+. This is on top of the ever-growing pile of bills and rent that's at $4,700 now.
Look, if my body wasn't a rebel with a cause (migraines, joint pain, the whole nightmare), I'd be back at work, rocking that paycheck. But between the wonky vision and the constant feeling like I got hit by a truck, work just isn't happening right now.
So, here's the deal. I'm in need of some sponsorship love.
Here's the breakdown:
New glasses (priority #1): $290+ (to hopefully stop my eyes from going full-on crazy)
Car payment & insurance: $717 (gotta keep this rolling SOUL on the road, must make it to my appointments)
Rent: $3,000 (because, this healing sanctuary is helping!)
Late fees (ugh): $983 (and climbing)
Open to any creative co-creation ideas and whatever donations you can throw my way. Every little bit helps!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And so it is. Amen. Aho. Ashe.
Love,
Carla 🌹
P.S. Even with all this craziness, I gotta say, life is feeling lighter. Weird, huh? Maybe it's the acceptance? Or the copious amounts of meds? Or perhaps the garden? Could be all the above, plus Luna!
P.P.S Feel free to share this post if you're feeling generous!
