Long post warning, but it's a message I want to repeat over and over until it really sinks in:
You can eat pizza & lose inches.
You can drink wine & lose inches.
You can eat chocolate & lose inches.
I know that other health experts might cringe at the sound of me saying this, but itâs true.
If you read that 3 times and are wondering if that applies to cookies & ice cream too - yes, you can eat cookies & ice cream & lose pounds.
How is that possible?
Well, have you ever deprived yourself of all that you love and had success? I mean, lasting success?
Probably not, or you wouldnât be here reading this.
So the problem lies somewhere else. Itâs not about depriving yourself of all the fun foods.
I also spent years eating super 'clean', second guessing and overthinking every bite I took.
All that ever got me was cravings that had me devour a box of cookies in 20 minutes and a slow metabolism that made my jeans tighterâŠ
I felt so ashamed because no matter what I did; go vegan, detox, skip meals, etc, I could see no progress.
But then things changed. I found myself eating more than ever. Actually enjoying food, pizza and wine, but my stomach was flat and I found myself swimming in my old clothes.
Thanks to my nutrition education I see so clearly that all the calorie counting, deprivation and exercise attempts Iâd done in the past were so wasted because they werenât focused on fixing the things that were causing me to gain weight to begin with.
What I want you to understand is that weight and cravings are just symptoms of deeper underlying problems. Once those are fixed, the side effects are weight loss and no more cravings.
âŁ
This is what I want you to realize...âŁ
Itâs not about giving up all your favourite foodsâŁ
It's not about all or nothing
Itâs not about hours of cardio trying to âburn it offâ the next dayâŁ
Itâs not about âresettingâ on Monday because you enjoyed your weekend.
âŁ
Thatâs what weâve been told works - but the truth is, it doesnât.
Weâve all done it and still havenât seen results.
Itâs a dated way of approaching weight loss that doesnât work... especially not for women.âŁ
Plus...the more we engage in the binge-guilt-restrict cycle again and again - the worse the problem gets.âŁ
âŁ
Which causes more weight gain, frustration, and hormonal destruction.âŁ
Are you ready to break this cycle that doesnât serve you? âŁ
Are you ready to enjoy pizza and wine guilt free?
Enjoy ice cream, but not gain 20lbs during the summer?
