My secret to being able to eat pizza and still lose weight? đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

The secret key to being able to indulge without gaining weight is my 3 pillar approach to weight loss.

With calories in vs calories out you’re putting all your eggs in one basket
a flawed basket, if I may say so

Once you stop counting calories, your system no longer supports you.

My 3 pillar approach gives you a lot more flexibility because if one pillar is weakened at some point, you still have 2 more pillars keeping you strong đŸ’«

The three pillars I rely on to get my clients results:
👉 Rebalancing metabolic hormones
👉 Managing inflammation
👉 Supporting your metabolism

Eating less and exercising more supports exactly 0 of these 3 pillars

My new Nourish Method will guide you through the implementation of these 3 pillars, step by step, so you too can achieve metabolic flexibility ✹

Long post warning, but it's a message I want to repeat over and over until it really sinks in:

You can eat pizza & lose inches.
You can drink wine & lose inches.
You can eat chocolate & lose inches.

I know that other health experts might cringe at the sound of me saying this, but it’s true.

If you read that 3 times and are wondering if that applies to cookies & ice cream too - yes, you can eat cookies & ice cream & lose pounds.

How is that possible?
Well, have you ever deprived yourself of all that you love and had success? I mean, lasting success?

Probably not, or you wouldn’t be here reading this.

So the problem lies somewhere else. It’s not about depriving yourself of all the fun foods.

I also spent years eating super 'clean', second guessing and overthinking every bite I took.

All that ever got me was cravings that had me devour a box of cookies in 20 minutes and a slow metabolism that made my jeans tighter

I felt so ashamed because no matter what I did; go vegan, detox, skip meals, etc, I could see no progress.

But then things changed. I found myself eating more than ever. Actually enjoying food, pizza and wine, but my stomach was flat and I found myself swimming in my old clothes.

Thanks to my nutrition education I see so clearly that all the calorie counting, deprivation and exercise attempts I’d done in the past were so wasted because they weren’t focused on fixing the things that were causing me to gain weight to begin with.

What I want you to understand is that weight and cravings are just symptoms of deeper underlying problems. Once those are fixed, the side effects are weight loss and no more cravings.
⁣
This is what I want you to realize...⁣
It’s not about giving up all your favourite foods⁣
It's not about all or nothing
It’s not about hours of cardio trying to ‘burn it off’ the next day⁣
It’s not about ‘resetting’ on Monday because you enjoyed your weekend.
⁣
That’s what we’ve been told works - but the truth is, it doesn’t.

We’ve all done it and still haven’t seen results.

It’s a dated way of approaching weight loss that doesn’t work... especially not for women.⁣

Plus...the more we engage in the binge-guilt-restrict cycle again and again - the worse the problem gets.⁣
⁣
Which causes more weight gain, frustration, and hormonal destruction.⁣

Are you ready to break this cycle that doesn’t serve you? ⁣
Are you ready to enjoy pizza and wine guilt free?

Enjoy ice cream, but not gain 20lbs during the summer?

I'm taking in 2 clients who are ready to drop 20lbs for the summer. Schedule a free, no pressure call with me to find out more - link in comments

I felt like a hypocrite for sharing this picture

Sharing weight loss content on social and with my clients whilst I go bake croissants for me and my friends on weekends

But then I realized that it’s my reality and exactly the reality I help clients achieve too - weight loss without giving up chocolate/croissants/wine

Because it is possible

It’s not about restrictions, it’s about nourishment

And making croissants has become unexpected nourishment for my soul and that is also a big part of my Nourish Method.

If you’re ready to lose weight for good, without giving up chocolate or croissants, let’s chat.

DM me or schedule a free, no pressure call to see if you’d be a good fit for the Nourish Method.

Hormones are in charge of the other 80%.

If you’ve been losing and gaining the same 5- 10lbs for years, you’ve might've been focusing on the wrong part of the equation...

Counting calories has no impact on your fat burning hormones.

But not eating enough does:..slow down your metabolism..increase cravings for simple carbs..frequently lead to overeating at the end of the day..increase cortisol, one of your fat storing hormones (so you could be eating less and still gain weight)

All of these get in the way of your weight loss efforts, making it even more difficult then it has to be

So you end up achieving the complete opposite of what you want, which is super frustrating because you're probably working really hard at it!

SOLUTION: stop relying on willpower to eat less and start putting your energy towards the things that actually work.

Imagine that, not starving yourself, eating satisfying meals (even chocolate) and still fitting into your favourite jeans.
🌈🩄
It's not a magic pill, but it is basic biology.
It's what working with your body instead of against it looks like.
Support your metabolic hormones with the right food and lifestyle and sustainable weight loss happens.

DM me if you'd like to find out more about my Nourish Method and how we can support your hormones to achieve the results you've been working so hard for 💌

I know you can do this!

DO YOU EAT WELL DURING THE DAY & THEN AT NIGHT...YOU LOSE ALL WILLPOWER & OVEREAT?⁣
⁣
You’re super motivated and proud during the day and feel like you’re finally going to be able to do this 🌟đŸ’Ș⁣..only to give in to cookies in the evening...⁣
⁣
It’s getting in the way of your weight loss goal even though you start over again the next day ..only to have the same thing happen
⁣🙄
⁣
‘I just need more willpower’ you tell yourself.⁣
⁣
It’ll help win the constant devil vs angel battles going on in your mind that take up so much energy and mental power ⁣..it leaves you feeling exhausted...⁣⁣
⁣
What if I told you that you don’t need more willpower?⁣

To eliminate cravings you just need to craving-proof your macros so the food you eat can start working in your favour again (help lose weight and stop cravings instead of gain more weight and continue to have cravings).

(Think - fast metabolism, burning fat, giving you more energy instead of ‘I want more cookies’)⁣
⁣
No fancy supplements involved, no fancy recipes or foods - and of course, no willpower.

Who had too many mini eggs over the weekend??? (is there even such a thing as too many?!?!)

Here’s how you get back ‘on track’ after a weekend of fun foods:

DON’T:
❌ Feel guilty
❌ Deprive yourself
❌ Put in extra hours of cardio at the gym
❌ Eat only a salad for lunch
❌ Keep eating that way because you’re already ‘off track’

DO:
✅ Eat 3 satisfying meals a day
✅ Eat hormone balancing meals
✅ Get your blood sugar stabilized again
✅ Get 8 hrs of sleep
✅ Let go of the past, focus on the future

I've got something special coming your way tomorrow, so make sure you check your inbox!

07/04/2023

Last week for three nights in a row I woke up with throbbing pain in my left leg that had me in tears.

I had no visible sign of injury, no redness or bruising. Just a lot of unexplained pain.

Instead of visiting my doctor who would’ve just given me pain meds, I saw an acupuncturist because, like me, they like getting to the root of the problem.

And we did and thankfully the pain is completely gone and other symptoms are too.

Whether you trust acupuncture as much as I do is not the point of my story.

Turns out that my LOVE for acidic foods bit me in the butt. Apparently you can have too much lemon water, vitamin c, oranges and acv on a daily basis 😅 - even if all those components individually are considered healthy.

Healthy, but it didn’t help me achieve my goals and in fact was harming my body.

This is a message I always try to get through to you and my clients.

Eating healthy does not equal weight loss.

To lose weight, you have to eat for weight loss.

You have to eat for your specific goal as ‘healthy’ is a very general blanket statement.

Instead of focusing on eating healthy, eat to support the hormones that are in charge of weight loss.

04/04/2023

We tend to focus on the goal to get us where we want to be, when we should really be focusing on the steps and the habits that get us to our goal.

Example: eat less sugar

If you only focus on cutting out sugar, you’re going to end up relying on willpower to stay away from it.

Once you run out of willpower at the end of the day, you’re going to reach for the cookies at the end of the day.

If instead you focus on the habit of eating the right balance of macros during your 3 meals, staying away from sugar at the end of the day will be so much easier or dare I say - not even a thought!

Example 2: eat more protein

If you only focus on having more protein during meals - what happens when there’s none in your fridge? We give in to pasta?

Instead, focus on making sure you always have protein around:
- Going grocery shopping before the foods you need run out
- Making space in your calendar to make it a priority
- Stock your freezer if needed
- Prep your protein ahead of time to avoid ‘being too tired to cook’ to become an excuse
