fun fact about me:
I grew up in the BLUE ZONE — Loma Linda, California 💙
Within this small Adventist Christian community are many Asian American immigrant families and churches. On one street there’s the Filipino church I grew up in, then the street over is the
Indonesian church, then the Japanese church and the Chinese church, Korean church, also the Romanian and Spanish church.
AND YES, the post church lunch potlucks go awfff!!
Loma Linda is a hub of multi-cultural immigrant families who came to America for the “Dream”. My husband and closest friends and family are Indonesian, and I have had the privilege to educate and support the Indo Adventist Youth in destigmatizing mental health and have open conversations about intergenerational trauma and healing.
Today I will be sharing this wisdom of healing from a trauma specialized lens and Christian belief with a multi-generational congregation.
I’m so honored to give back to the community that raised me and break cycles of stigma to promote a legacy of emotional healing and support ♾️✨🙏🏻 full circle moment — feeling so blessed
