🔥 The Healing Power of Moxa
Moxibustion (or Moxa) is a traditional Chinese therapy that involves gently burning dried mugwort near specific acupuncture points. It’s all about restoring balance and warming the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body.
🌞 Top Benefits of Moxa:
Boosts circulation – Encourages smooth blood and energy flow.
Supports immunity – Helps the body defend against seasonal changes.
Eases pain & stiffness – Great for arthritis, cramps, or chronic fatigue.
Improves digestion – Warms the stomach and supports gut health.
Balances hormones – Especially beneficial for menstrual cycles and fertility.
Reduces stress – Promotes deep relaxation and grounding.

Some days it’s hard for to remember to nourish and feed our bodies.
.
We skip meals to show perseverance.
We overeat to survive the weight of the day.
.
Nourishment isn’t a reward.
It’s not something you earn after exhaustion.
It’s a form of fuel for the life you’re living. 🤍
3 ways to break the cycle:
1️⃣ Eat before you’re starving
When hunger hits emergency mode, comfort eating takes over. Gentle, regular meals keep your body feeling safe.
2️⃣ Pause before eating emotionally
Ask: “What am I actually needing right now?”
Rest? Comfort? A moment to breathe? Food can still be part of the answer just not the only one.
3️⃣ Redefine discipline as care
Discipline isn’t restriction. It’s consistency.
It’s choosing to feed yourself even when life can be a lot.. 🌱

Sometimes you look back and realize… yeah. I really did that. 🤍

Acupuncture points are doorways to balance.
Needles don’t force anything. they gently communicate with your nervous system, increase circulation, and remind your body how to heal itself 🤍.

Your energy isn’t just about sleep or caffeine ☕
In traditional Chinese medicine, the spleen is your body’s energy engine, transforming food into Qi, fueling focus, strength, and vitality.
👉🏾Stress, overthinking, sugar, and irregular meals drain it.👈🏾
🙏🏾Warm foods, regular eating, gentle movement, and rest help rebuild it.🙏🏾
Care for your digestion, and your energy follows ✨

New year, new routines, new habits ✨
Real change is *not* supposed to be easy.
If it feels uncomfortable, challenging, or even a little exhausting, that’s because it’s working. Growth asks you to meet yourself at a deeper level, to break patterns, to choose discipline over comfort, and to show up even when it’s hard.
The challenge is where transformation lives. Every small, intentional choice reshapes you from the inside out.
On the other side of that discomfort is a stronger, more grounded, more aligned version of you.💪

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Liver plays a major role in regulating the menstrual cycle.
It stores the Blood and ensures the smooth flow of Qi which means it influences how Blood moves through the reproductive system.
When the Liver’s energy isn’t flowing, things start to feel… tight, tense, or emotionally stuck.
Think of it like traffic congestion in your body.
In TCM, Liver Qi can stagnation can come from:
* Chronic stress
* Repressed emotions
* Sitting too much / lack of movement
* Overthinking or feeling overwhelmed
* Irregular sleep or eating habits
What may help?:
🌀Acupuncture to ease tension and regulate Qi
🌿Herbs that soothe the Liver (like Chai Hu formulas (with practitioner guidance)
🧘🏾‍♀️Movement: walking, yoga, stretching
🏃🏾‍♀️Emotional expression + stress reduction
🍲Warm, regular meals and routine
🔗 Link in bio to set up your next acupuncture appointment. It’s especially helpful during this time of year to help smooth out the liver qi.

As we move into the holidays, our Qi can get pulled in many directions with travel, planning, family, and the collective busyness of the season.
This is your gentle reminder to protect your energy before you give it away.
Choose warmth, mindful breaths, and simple nourishment.
Your body thrives on rhythm, rest, and hydration. Slow down where you can, soften when you’re able, and keep your Qi steady. 🤍✨

FAQ-What does it mean when my acupuncturist says that I have a damp condition???
Ever feel kinda heavy, bloated, foggy, or just off, even when you’re eating “healthy”? 😅
In Chinese medicine, that can be Dampness.
It’s like carrying around a wet rag inside your system, everything feels heavier and slower.
For women, that can show up as heavy periods, pelvic heaviness, fatigue, or that weighed-down feeling in your body (and even your mood).
Fun fact: people who eat a lot of raw fruit 🥭 smoothies, or salads 🥗 can be more prone to Dampness (especially if your digestion is not the most efficient).
Try these 3 tips to clear Damp:
1. Eat more warm, cooked meals 🍲
2. Move your body daily to keep fluids flowing 💃
3. Sip ginger or peppermint tea (or barley tea for extra credit) or lime water instead of iced drinks 🍵
Your body doesn’t love the fog or the wet rag, it loves flow. ✨
